As a frequent traveler I'll give my opinion, hoping to help you form yours.

IHG points and Hilton points: I view this as a 10% discount, not enough to risk anything, including devaluation. But, I've had Hilton not charge a resort fee when using points, now it can become a 20% discount, depending on where you stay. Do you research well, per hotel, do the math.

Marriott GC: Since I usually pay with my regular CC, this deal is worth it for me, 20% discount, and I stay at Marriott anyway. I'll get $1000 worth. If you normally use the Marriott CC, then you get a little less points for your stay.

Also "The following Marriott Hotel Brands DO NOT accept Marriott GiftCards: Bulgari®, Design Hotels™, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy,
The Ritz-Carlton Destination Club®, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection."

Other advice welcome.

The Hyatt points were always the good ones. Guess Hyatt backed out.

The IHG is useless - IHG periodically runs its own $0.005 per point sale so no need to buy into this unless you need it or run into your cap.

Choice can be good if going to Europe but pretty steep

Can we split our payment across GC and credit card? I want to put few dollars on my reservation so that I can get travel protections.
Travel protection usually requires the whole reservation be paid with the CC.

Yes it's legit, 100%.

As always with any travel, read the fine print for possible exclusions

However, the only offer worth it are Marriot and Hyatt. Even those are not screaming unless you have specific uses in mind. Those _could_ be decent for most.

Not with Chase, a partial payment is enough.

Does anyone know if the Marriott eGC can be used to pay for any Marriott property around the world? Heading to Spain next month, so if I can use it pay for a prepay reservation on Marriott's website, that would be swell.
I've used them in China. Usually I just reserve the room on whatever and worry about payment when I get there. Generally you have until the AM of departure to settle your bill/change payment methods.

I don't see IHG or Hilton points but they are regularly on sale for .5 cents which can be a fair value. The Hyatt points are the best deal IMO but the quantities are ridiculously low to the point they shouldn't even be offered. The choice points could be great if traveling to Northern Europe. I think the best western points could be a good deal but I just don't stay at BWs enough.

I generally avoid Marriott but the gift cards are a pretty good deal, I just hate keeping track of GCs so I'd pass.

Really the only one that is a deal for me is Hyatt but I have a better chance of finding Bigfoot than snagging one of those deals.

Most general questions like this one are impossible to answer. None of the deal are screamers, so it will all depend on specific use and needs.
