OP here. I bought one and it seems good*. I'll try to answer some questions and comments. I'm not a monitor expert, but I am a game dev who pays close attention to picture quality.

USB C? No, as indicated in the specs there is none, despite one of the Costco reference images seemingly indicating a USB port.

Ultrawide? Yes. It's UW, with a native 3440 x 1440 as in the given specs, which I guess is slightly off from a perfect 21:9 aspect ratio by my math, but still a typical UWQHD resolution.

Viewing angle? Not seeing any issues vertically or horizontally at any part of the monitor from various typical viewing positions. EDIT: I'm now noticing some very subtle shadowy white stripes in the corners if my viewing angle is more than say 3 inches off vertically from the ideal. This would be fixed for me by a riser.

Dead pixels? I got a tiny clump of IDK how many dead pixels. Looks like a permanent ` on the screen.

Legibility of tiny text? Good.

Saving settings? It seems to be saving my settings after power off. There is an option to save settings to 1 of 3 banks. EDIT: Save banks no longer seem to be working. Tested for brightness and contrast. Not sure if it worked before or if I was just confused or if I'm doing it wrong now. Anyway we now have several anecdotes of it not working in this thread.

Refresh rate autosync to games? Haven't configured anything special, but haven't seen any tearing on various games, some with < 60 FPS and some with > 200 FPS, so I haven't bothered to confirm any Hz matching. I'm using HDMI.

Other thoughts:
- The metal monitor stand is much more solid than is typical, but it would be nice if it were a little higher. I'm 6'2". It does have some vertical angle adjust, but I might get a 3" riser. Assembly was convenient.
- The side and top bezels are very thin, maybe 2 or 3 mm. The bottom isn't super thin.
- Curve is pleasant and useful.
- Supposed bespoke calibration at the factory as stated by insert in the box. Seems plausible.

*Generally quite happy with this deal, but may return due to dead pixels defect. I'd say the subtle viewing angle issue is not a deal breaker for me because it won't be present once I set up the position properly.

Also, thanks to the editor who improved my post!

That's correct, but a curved VA panel. So you personally don't have to worry as much about viewing angles.

Thumbs up - pretty good deal for this price! FREESYNC is no longer a problem with Nvidia cards, so it should work well together.

No. There are plenty of IPS and some OLED monitors that are curved. It's just more common with VA panels because of the inherent poor viewing angles of VA, so a curve is necessary for large/ultra-wide formats.

This seems like a good deal... Anyone recommend better monitor within a similar price range +-$100?

If HDR is important, this isn't bright enough. If it's not important, this is a great deal
