I think everybody has varying degrees of sensitivity when it comes to motion related specs. I personally have not found a VA panel that I could tolerate the smearing on and much prefer the look of motion on an IPS display.

This or an LG 32GP750? I'm digging the 21:9 ratio. Not sure how big of a deal GSync is.

Depends on the game. It's pretty annoying to me and I sadly made the switch over to only VA panels before noticing it. I found maxing out the brightness and raising contrast helps a lot so I have a config saved for gaming and a config for normal use

This seems like a good deal... Anyone recommend better monitor within a similar price range +-$100?
One of the cheaper IPS. 165hz, 400nits, Flat, USB C

I've given serious thought to buying this one. Seems like all the other IPS ones are $700 or more. I hate to pay more than I did for my current 34" alienware monitor that is over 5 years old. Just not sure if not having a curve will bother me. If Best Buy would run Gigabyte monitor at $399 I would probably buy it.

For me right now, I would go with Best Buy if you buy the extended warranty. They are truly no hassle return compared to what I'm dealing with at Costco. I posted in another thread how my daughters chromebook broke with only a few weeks left of the HP 1 year warranty. i had the extended warranty thru Costco. I went to the store and they blew me off, handed me a pamphlet and said call the number. Called the number and they made me call HP. They said they would look at it and sent me a shipping box. Now at this point the laptop worked, it was just that one of the hinges had broken. We packed it in the box as instructed and sent it to HP. They then sent us an email when they got it and sent us pictures of a broken laptop. They basically broke the monitor off the hinges. They said it would be $400 for them to repair or they could just send us back the laptop. We chose to have it sent back since it was less than $300 for a new one. At this point we were no longer within the 1 year HP warranty so we called Costco back thinking they would handle it under their extended warranty. We were wrong. They made us send it back to HP. At this point we don't know what is going to happen. I'm too the point of just calling it a loss and buying a new one from Best Buy. Everything so far I've returned to best buy that was under warranty they have just told me to go find a replacement and if it was the same cost they just rang it up as zero or in a couple of cases I've gone with a better model and paid the difference at the time. After all the stories I've read over the years of people returning electronics to Costco with no hassle even after owning it for a year or more, I was surprised at how I've been treated. Maybe I just don't have a persuasive enough voice.

That's correct, but a curved VA panel. So you personally don't have to worry as much about viewing angles.
it's not just the viewing angles...black smearing is even somewhat noticeable on high end VA monitors..let alone an Acer..I doubt they'd use quality VA panel for their products

Really good deal for this price.
Really nice curve, I mean real curvature of 1000R, unlike those barely there curve of 1800R.
But, it's not ultrawide and doesn't have USB-C both are must for me.
