I have had this exact same combo for about a year and a half. CPU is great, mobo is DDR4 instead of 5, and RGB is finicky.

Given that, this is an amazing value. I spent $450 at the time.

This looks like a very good value given the motherboard quality. If there is a catch I'm not seeing it.

I have a RTX 2060 with Ryzen 5 2600x. In new titles I have a CPU bottleneck, now I wanna upgrade the CPU to a i5 12600K to get rid of CPU bottleneck and to have a future proof CPU when I upgrade my GPU in 2 Years.

The Problem is when i get the i5 12600K I will have a GPU bottleneck. around 12%.

My question is now, is it even worth to upgrade or will I face same FPS results while gaming due to the GPU bottleneck I would get? I'm confused!!

The only catch for me is not having 2.5 gig ethernet, but that's it and it's not that big of a deal.

This thing would make a killer plex server since the mobo had 8 sata ports. I've already got a 12600k and an msi board running unraid and its a beast!

You're talking about building a whole new PC. The Intel processor isn't going to fit your AMD motherboard…

You'll always have a bottleneck somewhere, you just have to choose where it makes the least impact for your "ideal" operation.

Edit: I suppose in the context of this deal you could swap all your components to the Intel board and sell off the old AMD board and processor, but that's a lot of reinstalls and reconfiguration that might be avoidable to get where you want your machine to be.

Depending on your motherboard, you might be able to upgrade to a 5800X3d after a bios update. I would go that route if possible.

Yep. If you only care about gaming and not any productivity stuff, the 5800X3d will cost you about the same as this bundle, requires no rebuilding, performs better in gaming than the Intel 12th gen, and is almost a drop-in replacement depending on your motherboard.

I don't need it...I don't need it. Built an AMD Ryzen 5 build a few years ago. Seems decent for price. I haven't built with an Intel cpu.
