Wife and I were looking for a lightweight, inexpensive car seat for when we fly and settled on this option. It's only 10lbs, and FAA certified. According to consumer reports crash testing its very safe. (It recieved a rating of 'Best' from them).
Most people go with the Cosco Scenera Next for $60. But that only goes up to 40lbs. This Ranger goes up to 65lbs, and rates better in crash testing. it's $90 most places but $73 at Woot!
