OP states "in store only", so the online listing isn't going to show that price
Ah okay. I assumed price would change if I selected in-store pickup.

I only see it for $499 as a Verizon member. Anything special to get the $460 price.
There's always something that can be done to knock a price down... But you may not like it 😉

It is 460 in store. I used the in-stock on website to confirm and it matched the Omaha store I got it from. I am on a team that manages our business account for Verizon but I do not have a Verizon personal phone. They did ask for a Verizon number so you have to have a "number". The business accounts obviously are not eligible and there was no way for him to put that purchase under my business account but they still rang me up with a receipt and on that receipt it doesn't say anything indicating an account or my number.

So YMMV on if you can just look up any Verizon number, but they did ask me for it and I am not sure what would have happened if I said no. I went in with the knowledge knowing they would ask and I had my business number on hand.

492 and some change was my total after tax. Had factory seal and everything. No issues.

Not bad but not even close to the crazy Xbox deals we've been having lately.

Xbox Series S for $150 and 3 years of GamePass Ultimate for about $70 (using VPN method) is unbeatable.

You most not have the money because its not get any lower then this.It will be 499.99 without a game and the only reason they lowered it is because this model is about to be discontinued .

You're comparing this to the lower end Xbox. Also, Xbox doesn't help if you want to play PS exclusive titles Wink

But other than you nobody wants an xbox.Xbox has no games it's gotten so bad they are crying to the government saying that they can't compete with Sony or Nintendo without buying a gaming studio plus there selling a paid gaming service as a system selling feature.
Fanboyimg is dumb, stop.

This is my main reason for resisting this deal. I would hate to see a redesigned model release just a few months after having purchased one when I already held out this long. But my main concern is that the new model will be $499 with the rumored detachable disc drive sold separately. If that's the case I would much prefer this original model and will regret passing on this deal. I would also not like it if the disc drive sits separate from the console connected by a cable, even if the console itself is smaller. Tough decision...

True, but the lower end PS5 is still MSRP $399.99 so more than twice the price. For cross platform online gaming (most AAA releases these days) the Xbox is a much better deal.

Exclusives suck for both systems at this point. I think the only PlayStation game that I'd consider really high quality and different than whatever is on Xbox is the Spider-Man games. Those are a ton of fun and Xbox doesn't have anything similar.
