Good luck finding a Hyundai dealership that isn't marking up 7.5k to negate the credit. Tried to buy one last year and they marked up anywhere from 2k minimum to 8k with add-ons.

Hyundai actually found the issue, it was an app that sent a bunch of information/stayed connected when the car is off. Teslas have a worse issue which is phantom drain, since the car stays connected for connectivity/app usage it drains the main drive battery. Ends up making the car horribly inefficient. People come back to their cars with way less drivable range.

You cannot buyout Tesla leases, not that you would want to after you experience the shoddy workmanship of those things.

If you don't have enough tax liability to benefit from the $7500 tax credit, then leasing and purchasing the car at the end of the lease makes sense. That's what I did with my Kia Niro EV.

Initially got my IONIQ 5 Limited lease at Freehold Hyundai, NJ. No markup, $0 down, $0 DAS. Took about a month and a half with Hyundai Motor Finance, but eventually bought it out afterwards, so $7500 tax credit plus no sales tax thanks to NJ's ZEV exemption.

Also, thanks to markups.org, I found and bought another car at Brandfon Hyundai in West Haven, CT. They don't mark up their vehicles over MSRP. Was a bit of a hike to get there, but it was worth it.

To get your equity that you have paid into the lease. I've had my lease for 20 of 36 months. If I were to buy it out today and sell the vehicle, I could get pretty much all my money back that I paid into the lease. Plus I got to drive around a new car for almost two years with minimal cost out of my own pocket. If you just turn the vehicle into the dealer at the end of your term, then the dealer is the one who benefits.

Alot of people have misunderstanding about this 800v charging. You dont get 800v from all charging. You are even lucky to find 400v. Also if your charging station has 2 port, it will reduce your charging speed when someone else is charging next to you. Ive been on multiple hyundai/kia EVs(about 60-70% taxis are EV in korea due to their incentives they get over 10k on incentives). All the taxi drivers complained about charging speed. Its not fast as you think. Also again impossible to find 800v hyundai/kia claims.
As owner of 2 hyundai/kia, i would not buy their car again due to their warranty. Check fine prints. Its 10 yr limited powertrain warranty. Also i had to visit them 2-3 times to get stuff fixed. They will verify the fault at first visit, then they will ask you to leave and come back when Hyundai North American approve dealer request. Also hyundai/kia dealerships are like visiting third world country. You have to fight/argue with service manager/techs to get it repaired....

Didn't hyundai increase the residual value for Ioniq 5 so that lease end buyout doesn't make financial sense anymore?

Hyundai charging Model 3/Y prices. Hilarious. Been in both, not even the same class. One is like a geo metro and the other is like an S Class Mercedes. They're that far apart.

If you could haggle down the sale cost by $5k, that will reduce the total lease cost significantly. Assuming one can haggle currently. There are several sources where you can find out the current manufacture's financing "money factor" and 'residual factor' as well.

So we're just straight up allowing mediocre, publicly advertised car leases as posts?

These aren't "deals" with $5k down, prices excluding tax, title, dealer fees, etc. Most people will see this, walk into a dealer, and get HOSED. Want to actually do this the right way? Stop reading here, head over to LeaseHackr and start educating yourself.

Only 5k down! Lol, never figure lease prices that way. Always always $0 down for your calculations.
The money factor on these cars right now is ridiculous, almost 10% when I was shopping around, plus every dealer is market adjusting or marketing it up in other ways to basically completely destroy any lease deal with the $7500 credit. There are no 'deals' on this vehicle right now. There are basically no good deals on leasing Any model of electric vehicles right now.
Probably won't be for a while.
