Good luck finding a Hyundai dealership that isn't marking up 7.5k to negate the credit. Tried to buy one last year and they marked up anywhere from 2k minimum to 8k with add-ons.

Hyundai actually found the issue, it was an app that sent a bunch of information/stayed connected when the car is off. Teslas have a worse issue which is phantom drain, since the car stays connected for connectivity/app usage it drains the main drive battery. Ends up making the car horribly inefficient. People come back to their cars with way less drivable range.

You cannot buyout Tesla leases, not that you would want to after you experience the shoddy workmanship of those things.

To summarize, dealers are getting a 7500 kickback on the leases because a new sale is being subsidized by the feds and they'll need 2-3 year old ones boomeranging back as lease returns for their used business... so if you don't qualify for the 7500 fed incentive, lease one of these and buy out the lease for the residual value, which should be depressed. Problem is some dealers are not passing the full 7500 incentive over- eating into how well this strategy will end up working.

*shrug* I bought a Tesla...
Heh this ia good, repped. I bought Tesla too but friend is on the market and she actually wanted this car!

I did exactly that and regret now - Dont make the same mistake I did - TESLA SERVICE SUCKS. Youre lucky if you get their car without issues but boy when u start having issues that's when u realize there is no warranty on this car - Everything is wear and tear for Tesla they have a huge list of things they dont cover under warranty.
Tesla has great products. Everyone is very nice.

No one can help you...

Good luck finding a (working) charger that supports 800v. Not a Tesla fanboy, but the charging network outside of Tesla is meh. (I own a model 3 and a ccs converter)
Charging networks are grossly over emphasized as mattering. For most all EV owners charging networks don't matter most of the time because they charge at home like 90% of the time.

Anyone that plans to spend more time than that at a public charger, or doesn't have a level two charger, should not own an EV if they value their time.

Amortize it over 12 years and the cost lowers significantly.
It's a 3 year lease.

The i3 is a cool little beast with a carbon fiber chassis. You know what else uses carbon fiber? The Bugatti Veyron (and many other exotics) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lis...coque_cars
Just don't get in a wreck... carbon fiber doesn't bend like metal it cracks and shatters. Even a minor fender bender could total the vehicle so insurance will likely be expensive.

The car is fine. I hate Hyundai dealer. Long story short...
I pre ordered mid 21, i got email in early 22 that my car coming to the dealer assigned in few months. I went to the dealer within 30 minutes after the email arrived.
The dealer told me: so sorry, we sold your car to someone else. I asked why? He said its because of that person paid 10K mark up and few more K Add ons.
I was furious, called Hyundai Corp, nothing they can do. My impression is the corporation support this practice that dealer screwed customer.
Mine was Limited, available after they deliver the other models. People already pissed off at that time. VW and Ford took action and no mark up.
A lot of people complained about after sales too, dealer have no idea how to fix it.
Btw, I was assigned to different dealer, because of the dealer of my choice wasn't allowed to sell EV, no infrastructure to fix things at that time.

Sooo... in short, stay away from Hyundai dealer, they are bunch of bad people.
I am in San Diego and had been calling all dealer in area... same story... i end up getting VW ID4 and happy since then.

I don't know nor care what the Tesla super chargers put out, but Musk recently stated he will let other manufacturers use them.

Why the other car manufacturers can't sell directly to consumers like what Tesla does?

Re: Ioniq 12v issue, this is correct.

Tech Connections is a fantastic youtube channel and posted an in-depth 1-yr review of the Ioniq 5. He specifically discusses the 12v issue at 10:10, but the rest of the video is quite informative (and honest!) as well.

https://youtu.be/itAMIIBnZ-8?t=610
His channel is great, educational, entertaining, and charmingly weird. For those unfamiliar, that video is on his second channel, make sure to look up Technology Connections as well. Check out his latest video on brake light function in EVs--including the IONIQ. Info that's good to be aware of: https://youtu.be/U0YW7x9U5TQ

Combustion. They wore me out last year with their nonsense and over sticker charges. There have been many Ioniq 5s and 6s sitting a while on the local lot since the credit went away. Got a RAV4 Prime instead.
rav4 prime is way overpriced now that people who are skeptical of EV but still want to try it out are flocking to it. Seems like the supply is also extremely limited
