Good luck finding a Hyundai dealership that isn't marking up 7.5k to negate the credit. Tried to buy one last year and they marked up anywhere from 2k minimum to 8k with add-ons.

Hyundai actually found the issue, it was an app that sent a bunch of information/stayed connected when the car is off. Teslas have a worse issue which is phantom drain, since the car stays connected for connectivity/app usage it drains the main drive battery. Ends up making the car horribly inefficient. People come back to their cars with way less drivable range.

You cannot buyout Tesla leases, not that you would want to after you experience the shoddy workmanship of those things.

Good price, but ionic5 has a known 12v battery problem, Google it so you know what you are getting into. Same for Tesla, Google real Tesla on Reddit. The point is evs are still immature right now, so wait if you can.
I read it on the Internets. Must be true

This car is trouble.

When regenerative breaking is applied, the rear break lights don't turn on and there fore higher chance for rear end collision. Imagine you're going 60 and let your gass padel off, within few hundred feet the car will come to stop. Imagine whole time it was slowing down, rear break lights didn't turn on making next vehicle hit you.
This is when using iPedal (one pedal driving), the brake lights only turn on when your foot is FULLY depressed from the acceleration pedal.. The reason this is an issue that mostly impacts iPedal, is because iPedal you're not meant to remove your foot from the acceleration unless you're at a full stop. When you fully remove your foot the car will behave as if you're holding the brake and slow down very quickly... So most people keep their foot on the acceleration until they intend to stop completely

Which is indeed very alarming and warrants a recall. Regen braking DOES turn on the brake lights if your foot is fully depressed from the acceleration. So a mode such as Level 2 regen is perfect, as the car slows down at a rate that isn't as aggressive as iPedal (and it does turn on the brake light without you ever touching the brake pedal).

Also, this Slickdeals thread has some super old and outdated understandings of non-Tesla charging. While yes, 800v chargers aren't as plentiful as Tesla Super Charging stations... they're not exactly hard to find. You can absolutely do a coast to coast road trip using exclusively Electrify America stations. In fact, the President of Electrify America did just that in a Hyundai Ioniq 5. I've done three major road trips in my Ioniq, clocking over 3000 miles of driving on each trip. Charging in 15 minutes is pretty fantastic when road tripping.

Tesla needs to do this.
Tesla is selling model 3 for about 38k and you get 7500 credit. I think Tesla is a much better deal if you are planning to keep the car.

Tesla are the worst quality built cars and their services are even worse. Good luck with your steering wheel falling off while driving
I bet you have never owned a Tesla, but you are an avid Reddit reader. Warranty claims for Tesla are the lowest in the industry at 1.2% per car sold. Read facts not fud.

Is this effected by the Hyundai/Kia challenge to hijack the car?

No, does not have a turn-key ignition.

The $24K is the residual value at the end of lease term. You don't wait until the end. You buy right after your lease starts. Dealers would recommend waiting for three months, but multiple posts on reddit confirm that you don't have to wait to buyout.
So if I understand it correctly I would be able to do a buyout for $24,815 right after signing the lease? So I would be essentially paying $24,815 + $5000 due at lease + some fees and taxes?

Well not a tesla fan and wanted to explore EV have been looking for Bolt EUV for 3-4 months all dealers asking for 5k mark up (now it's discounted) , tried EV6 and Ioniq the barrier to entry for any other car is Dealers marking up and all manufacturers are losing reputation. Went with tesla easy experience is what I get.

It should be less than the $24K. You pay $24K if you buy after the 3 years lease is over. Residual value of $24K doesn't play any role when you are buying out a vehicle prior to the end of lease term.

Everything is negotiable. Stated residual value should be the roof of what you will be able to pay if you choose to buy out the lease, if not the vehicle returns to the leasing company. Depending on what the actual value is at time of return, you can negotiate down if the actual value is less (or they don't want the vehicle) or you can negotiate a cash payment back to not exercise the residual value buyout if the vehicle is worth more (last year).

Have you been in contract law long?
Are you claiming you have successfully negotiated with the Manufacture and/or their finance company to officially change the "Residual Value" on the original lease/paperwork?
Put me in the 'skeptic' corner on this.

If you care about fact, try google 12v issues reported within the last month before dismissing it as a non-issue.
Don't know if you own an EV? But as an owner of a M3, the 12V drain is a non-issue except when the 12V battery reaches the end of its life, as in ANY Vehicles, gas or EV. When the 12V is low, the main battery will try to recharge it to keep the unseen monitoring systems running (locking, theft, video, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, dog mode, etc.) If the 12V battery is bad then the main battery will be drained to a certain percentage. You need to replace a bad battery in ANY vehicle. IT IS A NON-ISSUE.

"Never" is where you have failed. It depends on who the leasing company is. Sometimes it's the dealer, but it can really be any party that wants to flip the bill for your vehicle and accept payments. Additionally, your argument is moot anyway, because you can also negotiate the value of the vehicle at the time of purchase. So it doesn't matter how you want to spin it, you can still work the deal so you're gaining equity faster.

I've driven my leased 2022 Hyundai since Aug 31, 2021 If I bought out my lease today, I could flip it for the approximate value of my Hyundai back when it was new on the lot in 2021, which would put nearly $4,500 cash back into my bank account. Then I can just go lease another new car and repeat. My lease was also "more negotiable" because I bought it on the last day of the month. Dealer needed to meet their quota, and I needed a car.
True Facts are never 'moot'. You are playing a shyster game of changing the meaning of words in a legal contract.
I bet you like the '4 square' game dealers play as well?
