I would have been okay with the 2 generations old 11th gen i7 for basic use, but that 45% NTSC display is pure garbage. After buying a Lenovo with a 45% NTSC display, I just can't do it again. Colors look so washed out and inaccurate. Strange combination of a dedicated GPU and a crap display in this otherwise decent laptop.

Does anyone know battery capacity?

It says "Up to 9.7 hours (MM18)" not sure what that means...

It means it's go the MM18 battery and has a rated life of up to 9.7 hours. Low display brightness, light usage to get there. That's a decent rating for anything without an extended/protruding battery.

Anything cpu heavy and using the graphics card will cut that way down.

This looks like a nice deal to me for normal office work, mostly using external monitors. But as mentioned above the included display is definitely weak, entry level type by today's standard.

Nice deal for a new thinkpad. The compromises made in this unit, like the screen, are in line with how the most reliable thinkpads have been made.
