These fans are by far the best IMO. Just fyi the white RGB 120 version is <$56 for a 3-pack at the Egg also. Great price, I just ordered a set for a spare PC I'm getting ready to build.

Get them before they're gone, because Corsair discontinued them and replaced MLs with (IMO) the inferior AFs. They're especially bad with static pressure compared to MLs.

Oh they still make noise, but with fans the majority of the noise is from the air they move.

Good price. Not the best for noise when it comes to high rpm or quickly ramping up, but like most top tier fans if you run them <1200 rpm they are great.

Most fans in this tier perform so close to each other the only non-negligible variable is price. Don't get caught paying for things that do not make an actual difference, (I'm looking at you lcp and ml)

Looks like the 3 pack really isn't a pack but just 3 separate fans bundled with a combo discount? Does this mean the node needs to be purchased separately? If so, which do you recommend if I only plan on using these 3 fans?

Its major advantage is the fan lifetime. Since there is no friction, it won't wear at the center after years of use (where most fans fail after drying and grinding), but it can still make noise through vibrations (on top of air pushing noise), especially if the center of levitation is not exactly on spot with center of mass, so, material/process quality can still matter. Regardless, I would want to try if I could find it from a more reputable seller around the same price (or price matches this).

Corsair has proprietary RGB connectors, so if you want to plug them into a standard setup, you'll need adapters. Otherwise you'll need their RGB hub.

Correct. The Commander XT is magnetic and comes with two temp probes for $50 (cheaper used, but 95% of the time doesn't include the probes used).

There are other options, but the Commander XT is the best IMO if you're diving into the Corsair ecosystem.

iCue software is incredible, don't let the idiots tell you otherwise. It just depends on what you're willing to learn in order to get a specific result. More learning=more awesome lighting setup.

I've had iCue for over a year now and I'm not joking when I say I'm literally still learning new things even just last night. Major things at that. It's not a difficulty issue, it's my failure to realize how vast their customization really is.

What adapters do I need to plug into MB? I did a search for adapters and didn't come up with anything. I don't care at all about the lights.

I just watched a youtube video where these exact fans were plugged directly into the motherboard and both fan and LEDs worked.

What do you mean by a standard setup?
