Love my watch! Got it in 7/19 for $57. Great watch, it's my go to. Mine did die after forgetting about it in a drawer for a few months but was able to recharge it by putting it near a window.

My only regret was not buying a few more for gifts/backups/etc.

how is this for kids? 37mm looks perfect for kids (size-wise), not sure about the design.

I've been wearing this for the last five years. Keeps time amazingly well. The battery has never run down even during the winter when covered by a shirt sleeve. I'm using the original band and it's always been comfortable on my thin wrists, but looks better with a black leather band.

I have the watch but I don't know where it's assembled. The case has "JAPAN MOV'T" printed on it so I assume the internals are made in Japan. The band says "BAND CHINA" so for sure the band is made in China.

Great little watch. I thought 37mm was a bit small when I first got it 4 years ago but eventually grew on me. Eco Drive feature means you will never need batteries as this watch will recharge under any type of light source (sun, light bulbs). Love the field/pilot looks on this watch.

The strap it comes with is garbage though. Plenty of cheap leather straps out there that will make this watch feel and look better.

FYI I got this watch for about $62 w/ tax some years ago when it was on sale ($85) + a deal of the day coupon ($28). Decent price at $114.

Apparently this was $85 during an Amazon sale in 2019. Remember, inflation only went up 8.5% at it's peak according to the (manipulated) data the public was given. look around

(that's a 35% increase in price to $114 for those who like math).

I hear what you are saying but the $85 price was on a sale that happened in 2019 so it's a bit misleading to use that price to compare it with inflation etc.

The watch is double the price than it was a couple years ago. But it's also the cheapest Eco-Drive you can find from Citizen now from what I've seen. Compared to other field watches in this price it's very solid. I like mine quite a bit.

The 3 camel's website says that the price for this watch stayed the same from 2016 to 2019 at it's base price. When 2020 came along the price of the watch moved up tremendously. This watch is on sale right now technically. It was $187 a few days ago and was $187 for a couple months. From April to June.

One point not mentioned about the price increases (besides inflation obviously) is that over the past few years, Citizen has grown in popularity and brand recognition. Thus causing price increases as well. They tend to make excellent watches and I have always thought they 'punch' well above their retail/sale prices.

Anyone know how to revive these eco drives? I have one that left in closet, tried setting it out for weeks at window but didn't charge it. Do they also have a battery or a mechanical reset or something? Noob question...

This is a great watch. The size is nice. It's hard to find something in this price range that isn't enormous. The lume is excellent and lasts all night. It keeps pretty good time. It has been plenty rugged but also looks fine in my job which is never more than business casual. The battery/compositor has never run down even though I don't wear it daily (it is a regular part of my extremely modest rotation). The band looks decent but isn't super comfortable. It's passable for sure, and doesn't hold water too badly (I have a job with a fair amount of hand washing), but is definitely only passable as far as comfort goes...that said it's still the strap I use and have for years.

Hard to comment on the price with inflation and all, but this is a great watch. If you are looking for a nice field watch, you can't go wrong.
