Project Genesis has 512GB Motorola edge+ 2023 Smartphone on sale for $399.99. + $25 1-Month Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Service = $424.99. Shipping is free, but there are taxes. (My all-in price came to $452.50.)

The Moto Edge+ 2023 was just released for $799.99.

You need to sign up for the monthly plan at $25/month. This plan is on Dish Network's brand new 5G network, plus acts as an MVNO on AT&T and T-Mobile's networks. This is a TRUE unlimited data, with NO throttling.

Here is a link to the FAQ [genesis5g.com].

Note, you need to enter your Zip Code and Email to check service availability in your area before adding phone to cart

Specs:
Processor: Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)
Display: 6.6" 1080x2400 165Hz OLED
RAM: 8GB
Storage: 512GB
Operating system: Android 13
Battery: 5100mah

PC Magazine: "The Moto Edge+ packs snappy performance, above-average cameras, and excellent battery life into an appealing $800 package. The Edge trounces the Pixel 7 Pro in raw power, produces clearer shots than the OnePlus 11 5G, and far outlasts the Galaxy S23 when it comes to battery life and charging speeds."

It's kind of a bad idea generally to buy a cell phone planning to use it as a full home internet connection. Tmobile and Verizon both offer actual 5g home internet connections now, and if that's what you're looking for, then I don't know why you'd eschew those options in favor of something likely to be much less reliable.
Really depends on where you are and how your reception is. I've used Visible, AT&T Mobley, and the most recent TMO Business Tablet plans as whole house internet replacements over the last 5 or 6 years, all worked reasonably well as I get good reception to all the towers and I'm not doing any online gaming that requires low ping. I'm back on gigabit Fiber now since AT&T is offering it for a reasonable price, but boy doing I miss paying $7/mo for internet haha.

This is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone you're not going to get that phone that cheap without any strings attached. I have the mobile hotspot plan and it is something YMMV. The service was on par with what I was getting out of a MR1100 with AT&T service. Which for whatever reason in my particular area is awful. 5-7 mega peak time and 20 or so off peak time. 4-5 miles away I was getting 450 megs. I'm not sure why Boost is heavily subsidizing these devices. Also there customer service seems to be located in the USA and they're actually good at their jobs

For one thing, those plans are more expensive. When I last checked you were also limited to only using them at one address, so you'd still need to buy separate cell service for using data away from the home or when traveling

Why is this "a deal"?
I must be missing something ...

1) There are plenty of other options for a $400 phone (and some of them actually way better than a Motorola one) - not exactly a "deal" then.
2) The $25 plan for "cloud(y) 5G" sounds more like smoke in the mirror, while there are plenty of comparable "unlimited*" (read the fine print) plans - so that doesn't seem like a deal either.
Where can you get a better deal for $400 without requirement to port in an existing line?
This is $25 unlimited with no throttling including using hotspot using 3 networks including a brand new one. In many cases you will be the only one accessing the Dish Network in your area so no worries about congestion. It is also the only network with VoNR.

Easy pass on this. Knowing it's "Dish Network" is pretty much a deal killer from the get go, but considering all the bad reports and reviews, mostly concerning connectivity issues, it's not something I would want to throw my hard earned money at. Maybe in a couple years if they can fix their product and their customer service.

From the terms:
"You acknowledge and agree that your Device will be locked to the Project Genesis wireless Service for a period of twelve months from the date of activation."

Hard pass
That's a standard locked statement.

List three, please.

Anyone able to get an order to go through? I've tried several browsers and different cards with no luck. The order will either go through then immediately refund or it will give an error saying to try again later. Customer service seems to be just as baffled

On Motorolas own website for this exact phone it says that "Boost" is not supported. Guess Boost and Project Genesis are two entirely different carriers?…

It's in 120 major cities. Feel free to use this address if you just want to see the deal: 1738 Calumet St, Detroit, MI, 48208
Which 120 cities? I just used my Manhattan (NY, NY) address and got no service...

I am in North FL and service was available. Seems like a great price to test out this phone which has been getting impressive reviews. Says cancel anytime so we will see how locked it is and to what. I'm your Huckleberry..
