They split out storage and the bionic mind AI stuff, this is just shady! I would refund my homebase if not already past the refund period!
Emailed support multiple times and they kept saying basically nothing.
Camera quality is ok and no issues, but definitely stay away because they do not advertise accurately.

Wyze was so good back in the day when everything was free.
None of that forced cloud bs.
Eufy is great, plus is compatible with home assistant.

Yeah, I know, asking for a lot but doesn't hurt to ask. I recently got a Kasa pan/tilt 2k indoor camera but only found out after I got it that there's no easy way to view its video on a PC. It's possible but only by going through all sorts of contortions like installing an Android emulator. I like to monitor our security cameras on my PC while doing other things and don't want to be limited to only doing so on a phone or tablet. That just seems stupid even though most people are ok with it.
Right now we have 2 HD outdoor cameras, no pan/tilt, a Wyze 3 and a VimTag F300, and both work on a PC but being HD I'd like to get better resolution AND pan/tilt.
Btw are most such cameras usable on PCs with RTSP with view/control capabilities and is that hard to implement?

I haven't had to call customer service, so I can't speak to that.

No one could reproduce this without a username & password. It was sensationalism & click bait at its finest. You had to enable the feature to share with friends and family, off by default.
Only question is will it work with my older homebase2 that came with the wireless doorbell?

Run something like Blue Iris to handle the monitoring, recording, and interface, and then just buy a nice RTSP camera that has PTZ.
