Actually there are many reasons why PS/2 still exists. Many corporate machines have all USB ports turned off to prevent outside USB drives from being connected and data stolen or viruses introduced. It's not hurting anything by being there, just something else for people to whine about.
DisplayPort is more capable than HDMI.

Maybe someone is still using the ball mouse that needs to be cleaned often lol, I can kind of understand serial port since there are some devices that use it for communications but PS/2 is literally "ancient" by now.
