We are going to be there in a few months. If not on this exact model, you will be able to buy comparable drives for $200. 4TB Gen 3 drives are already going well under $200 regularly. Personally, I really want a good Gen 3 drive instead of a Gen 4 as Gen 3 tend to run a lot cooler, and I really don't need the 7000MB/s. high 2000s or 3000s is already crazy fast for everything I do. This is a lot like 5G vs 4G. 5G is nice for marketing, but drains battery, and is too fast for 99% of use cases.

Nah. People are going to get the 2x4TBs. Some people have confirmed based on item # of the products that were shipped out. This was a price mistake on their end, plain and simple.
