The cheap HF ones actually seem to be calibrated pretty well, the problem is that they often to fail to click (or click noticeably) at the set torque setting. Many people have this problem, but you might be lucky...for now.

On the other hand, these Huskys have a reliable and very noticeable click every time. Well worth the extra cost if you need to torque something important.
If you prefer the digital one, you can get the Quinn digital torque adapter(up to 250ftlbs), (MSRP 50, but HF has coupon frequently to bring down to ~35-40), https://www.harborfreight.com/12-...58706.html

Thanks for the deal. Needed a torque wrench with a higher torque setting for some axle nuts, and my current one wasn't going to cut it.

Very good price for a 250 ft-lbs. torque wrench. It beats out the Quinn from HF in value.

If you don't need to exceed 150 ft-lbs. then these are phenomenal deals.

Those are terrible quality with very unreliable clicks making it easy to blow right past the torque setting resulting in broken bolts or stripped threads.

I got the 250ftlb model a couple years ago just walking into the store for $50. Not sure how slick this is or if I got lucky on a sale.

The HF ones are low quality of the husky?

Having had both, hell yes, the Huskys are much better than cheap HF ones.

But don't just take my word on it: https://slickdeals.net/f/16666229-harbor-freight-1-4-3-8-or-1-2-drive-torque-wrenches-11-99-with-coupon-5-26-5-29

IDK man the harbor freight ones are not that bad. Nothing the average person will use these for... say basic maintenance wrenching on a car... a few lbs off isn't going to be breaking bolts or stripping threads.

But in general you do get what you pay for.

I've had great success with them. I have a whole set of 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 for less than $50 and they all work flawlessly.
