Polestar and Volvo could step away from traditional gas car design language. For this car you have a pointless for function long hood. You suffer inside because of that misplaced priority with the unnecessary limitation of back seat legroom and less wheelbase. An MG4 is the car to compare for current design of an ev. Good rear legroom. It's got a 2705mm wheelbase vs. 2650mm for this Volvo. 2 inches right there. 4287mm length vs. 4233mm for the EX30. The difference shows in the back door dimension.

Thanks for that-- now we know a couple extra things:
the cheapest version only charges at 134kw, not even 150kw
NONE of them use LFPs-- which means in normal use you won't charge to 100% so "daily" range is lower (in contrast the LFPs in the cheapest Tesla means you can charge to the full 272 daily.... not that 99% of drivers need that most days)
Oh- also he mentioned pricing, but in the UK... there the base is 31-32k pounds.... the single-motor bigger batter midrange one is 34k... but the "performance" AWD one is "over 40k"
And these are all in GBP, 1 GBP= $1.26 US right now.
But if we go by the one known US price (35k base model) it's about a 15% exchange instead.... Suggesting US pricing will be:
35k base, 39k mid-range, and "over $46,000" for the P....
Why would you NOT want your car to keep getting better, for free, multiple times a year?

And let's not forget the forced updates that automatically install themselves without the owner's consent.
I'm fine with OTA updates if they improve functionality or improve the user experience. I'm just saying that having to update more often just for the sake of updating isn't necessarily a benefit. I don't get excited every time Windows wants to install some unknown update, why would I get excited for my car to do the same?

Any actual helpful resources on how to utilize the lease option?
>>Your Volvo retailer will help you finalize your pricing and complete your paperwork starting in Summer 2024, when deliveries are expected to begin.
"help you finalize your pricing" is not something I want a dealer to do thaaaanks.....
The car dealer business has become so dishonest and greedy. That is one area Tesla is KILLING it.

The link you cite was about battery conditioning, on an old model I've never owned and Tesla hasn't sold since 2016... Further it mentions Tesla later "released a new update fixing the range for most owners"
The nearest they ever came to a "required" update was when they updated the VPN security method on their servers and REALLY old cars had a choice of "Update or you will never be able to connect to our servers again because you won't be able to log into them"
Full message given to owners was:
The Tesla network is undergoing enhancements for increased security. In order to maintain compatibility with and access to connected vehicle features, this vehicle requires a software update to at least version 2019.40.2.3. If not updated prior to 1-MAY-2020, this vehicle may no longer be able to receive over-the-air software updates, access the Tesla Mobile App & associated features, utilize voice commands, receive streaming media content, and other connectivity dependent features may be impacted. Please install the available software update by selecting the yellow clock icon and choosing a convenient time If you are persistently experiencing software update installation failures, please schedule a service appointment via the Tesla Mobile App."
Specs say exactly the opposite of that--- cargo space seats down is more than 2x in the Model Y.
