I have no doubt this will be much better built than any Tesla, but this car looks way smaller than a Model 3 or Y. Looks to be at least a full size class lower than midsize.
Honda civic rides way smoother and has better quality than my Tesla. Tesla cars are just tech but everything else with them is c##p

moot point. it's not like after they were bought out by ford then geely, they became unsafe death traps.
Except it is relevant because the claim they're the safest cars on the road has not been true for many years now. Teslas are.

Neither was the claim volvos are the most popular SUVs in europe. Teslas Model Y is.

Facts matter.

furthermore, his use of market cap to gauge the quality of the car is just plain retarded.

Since I never made such a claim not sure why you're directing that toward me.

Quote from dontwannaspend :
Also, can somebody tell me if you need your own charging cables at stations? Asking cause I'm not sure if I need to buy charging cables in case I decide to go with the Model 3. And, how do people living in apartments charge their cars?

Charging stations have their own cables.

You might need an adapter depending on the car vs the station.

Teslas come with a J1772, which works with most L2 public chargers..... and you won't need an adapter to use the most common L3 chargers (Tesla superchargers) with a Model 3. You WOULD need a CCS adapter to use the less common (and less reliable) CCS L3 chargers though.

The Volvo in this post is almost certain to be CCS native, so you would not need an adapter for the lesser chargers, if you want to use a Tesla charger you'd need to find one of the relatively few open to non-Teslas, and the adapter is already at the station for those.

Does anyone know how I could turn off these BS electric car email alerts?
I wonder as well. Until I see Toyota GR series have a deal with no markup these are just trash posts to me.

I won't support EV auto until price below 30k and 300 miles at least. And also my local mechanic knows how to fix em. šŸ˜†

I'd be interested in how you scraped that data and where the Lexus NX lives in that lineup.
Manually :-) Google: [model] size

The bottom numbers came from a "Smallest SUV" article which didn't include the heights in the body I skimmed.

You probably got a lemon when an IC car with transmission "runs" smoother than your EV. My almost 5 year/70k miles model 3 RWD LR has been a dream to own.

With the exception of the driver side door arm rest thingy that is wrinkling up where my left elbow and knee rests, have no complaints whatsoever. Oh yeah, it's gonna smoke most cars a the light too even on chill mode (standard chews up my Michelin pilots too quickly).

Was really interested in the Volvo electric. Car looks great but with no physical knobs and a tablet. I am hesitant. I would need to test drive.

It is one of reasons i haven't gotten a Tesla.
Having driven the XC90 with a similar layout, the HVAC controls are indeed a little annoying, but not terrible as they mostly kinda pop-up from the bottom and don't take up the whole screen.

Sorry nothing beats the tesla eco system. Just like there is apple eco system. I was elon hater maybe still am but a tesla lover with all things tesla. I tried other cars there are issues with battery charging and credibility even witg Mercedes. Tesla also lies about range but is less aggressive in lying then other ev claims.

Chevy Bolt is like 20K after tax credit. Model 3 is right around 30k after credit. So it is there. Not sure why the bar is set at 300 but both those do 250 I believe.

I bought a 20 Bolt for around 22K I think and drove it for 3 years. Traded in for 21K because I needed a bigger car. For the price you cannot beat it but do not expect anything nice.

Tell me when all of them use lifepo4 batteries and last 10 yrs at least or 5000 charges.

tdgaf otherwise. If they using 500 cycle lithium batteries they are worth less than 20k.

Also better include tax rebate.

So are we all hoping that by the time summer 2024 rolls around, they allow us to lease for the $7,500 credit? Because otherwise, the Model 3 still comes out cheaper.

Yeah I'm sure it is at 100k. Same deal with the Lexus. You can't compare 65k models to this or the 3/Y.
