Polestar and Volvo could step away from traditional gas car design language. For this car you have a pointless for function long hood. You suffer inside because of that misplaced priority with the unnecessary limitation of back seat legroom and less wheelbase. An MG4 is the car to compare for current design of an ev. Good rear legroom. It's got a 2705mm wheelbase vs. 2650mm for this Volvo. 2 inches right there. 4287mm length vs. 4233mm for the EX30. The difference shows in the back door dimension.

And a semi-related question - can you put the $500 down to reserve this for a lease, or is it only for purchase?
If anyone wants to let me know how to stop it while keeping my deal alerts up please advise tia
side mirror view was atrocious until I swapped out the mirrors for wide angle ones.

As a local vehicle you charge at home this difference is mostly irrelevant and factors like a larger interior might be more important.
BTW speaking of this thing being designed cheap-
LOL at the "We can't afford to put speakers in the doors... we're just gonna wedge a big Best Buy soundbar under the windshield and hope nobody notices!" design choice for the sound system in the Volvo.
The price is never the price with a legacy car company- cars are sold to dealers, who are then free to mark things up as much as they wish.
if you want "price is the price" Tesla has a business model you might enjoy.
Looks like nice car, wouldn't buy gen 1 car with zero reviews.
FWIW I used to think the same thing in NC...and my Lexus did have em.
But with the Tesla I just tell the app 3 minutes before I leave "set car to 70" or whatever, and it's nice and cold in there when I get in- no need for special seats.
In contrast in the Lexus I'd get in and my back/butt would be nice and cool immediately while the rest of me sweated for 5 minutes while the AC cooled the rest of the car.
300 miles in a day seems road trip distance to me (10x normal daily drive)....
If you mean 150 one way and you have a place to plug in there you should be fine unless you're in like the northern Yukon at 30 below or something.
