Small but still designed to look like a gas car with too much high blocky hood length and almost no frunk utilization.
Polestar and Volvo could step away from traditional gas car design language. For this car you have a pointless for function long hood. You suffer inside because of that misplaced priority with the unnecessary limitation of back seat legroom and less wheelbase. An MG4 is the car to compare for current design of an ev. Good rear legroom. It's got a 2705mm wheelbase vs. 2650mm for this Volvo. 2 inches right there. 4287mm length vs. 4233mm for the EX30. The difference shows in the back door dimension.

Still not too late to cancel your Model 3 order if you FOMO'd into that. This Volvo is worth the wait and wipes the floor of Tesla for less money with much better quality.

So are we all hoping that by the time summer 2024 rolls around, they allow us to lease for the $7,500 credit? Because otherwise, the Model 3 still comes out cheaper.
That's the plan. It's refundable anyway. If the car is not up to standards, I'll cancel. If Volvo doesn't want to pass along the 7.5k credit, I'll cancel. If the dealer doesn't want to play ball, I'll cancel.

I preordered the EV6 but had to cancel when no dealers wanted to sell for MSRP. The cancellation process was nice and easy.

This car doesn't qualify for the federal tax credit.

There's no income limit with lease credit. It all depends on the leasing compay.

Let's see. If with any markup, I would just walk away with the deposit refunded.

Is that before or after retirement contributions?

Wrong, they mention 7,500 lease credit. This is the only way these cars will roll off the lot. There is no reason for a customer to loose out on it, so they offer lease and purchase option at the end with 7,500 reduction in the price. I fully expect to lease it and get the credit and purchase it at the end of the lease if it is still worth it. Just made the deposit today.
Hyundai Ionic and Nissan Aria are already doing this because otherwise they don't qualify for the 7,500 credit.

There is no lease option....will see what would look like by the time delivery... Wish there is a lease option to enjoy $7500 off workaround

Manually :-) Google: [model] size

The bottom numbers came from a "Smallest SUV" article which didn't include the heights in the body I skimmed.
Makes sense! I hoped you had some spiffy python scraper of a web db with all of the particulars.

When will we get an EV with 400+ miles range, which is not going to cost like 100K. Please someone find a break-thru in battery tech and give us a SUV which costs around 50K with 400+ mileage.

Volvo hasn't been Swedish since the 90s.... owned by US company Ford first decade of this century, owned by Chinese company Geely since 2010 (and that's who designed, and is building, this car)

So you would consider Volvo an american car? The first american plant is less than 10 years old. They are a swedish car owned by an american company. Would you have called Land Rover an american car or a british car back when Ford owned it?
You do realize this is literally a rebranded Chinese car that already sells in China. So you have a Chinese designed car made in China with a Volvo sticker. Like what's with the idiotic comparisons.

Please educate me on this.
Is it safe to assume that the total price of the car, if I wish to buy, will be 27500 ? (35000-7500)
And if I plan to lease it , will the monthly lease amount would be based on 27500 or 35000? And how much would it cost monthly to lease it?

Thanks in advance
That's basically what happened when I visited Jeep on their advertised 4xe specials. It was a total bait and switch where the lease cost on the final paperwork was essentially paying the full vehicle and on top of that it was still 30k buyout at the end. I walked out after wasting several hours and two trips to the dealer. Be very careful with leases and make sure you read every line in those agreements.
