Polestar and Volvo could step away from traditional gas car design language. For this car you have a pointless for function long hood. You suffer inside because of that misplaced priority with the unnecessary limitation of back seat legroom and less wheelbase. An MG4 is the car to compare for current design of an ev. Good rear legroom. It's got a 2705mm wheelbase vs. 2650mm for this Volvo. 2 inches right there. 4287mm length vs. 4233mm for the EX30. The difference shows in the back door dimension.

A small truck - can stack up very high and stick out the tailgate. So even a maverick can carry a ton more than a compact suv.

That said, I'd agree with the new hybrid maverick. Great buy for the mpg, truck bed, 120v sockets, etc.
Read about the bed design in an automobile engineering magazine - ford really thought about usability designing it.

Test drive other brand EVs, all feels are much better, more controls with backup tire at least
Volvo is ranked 30th in market cap size for car companies. Its a very tiny brand.. It's market cap is smaller than Rivian and Lucid. Tesla has the largest market cap by far. It's not even close. People trust in the brand of Tesla, and Elon leading it.

unfortunately the charging network is the biggest let down.
You don't notice much difference between 22 and 25 minutes. But 350 miles (real world) vs 270 (real world) may mean the difference between making it, or not. If you plan on road tripping (bit odd on a Taycan) more range is king. At least for another 2 years or so as the network gets built out more.
