Polestar and Volvo could step away from traditional gas car design language. For this car you have a pointless for function long hood. You suffer inside because of that misplaced priority with the unnecessary limitation of back seat legroom and less wheelbase. An MG4 is the car to compare for current design of an ev. Good rear legroom. It's got a 2705mm wheelbase vs. 2650mm for this Volvo. 2 inches right there. 4287mm length vs. 4233mm for the EX30. The difference shows in the back door dimension.

Tesla doesn't make a car near this size. Barely anyone does. Which is why I like it. But people should realize what this is and what it isn't.
Volvos I tried were very nice, but horrible range and much more expensive than this (basically E-class vs this car which I think is like A-class or Toyota Camry territory).
I went with a model Y because it was by far the cheapest EV with 300+ miles of range and a hatch (50k, ~40k after incentives). Tesla is not a luxury automaker, and aren't priced like luxury automakers. They're "premium" so similar to Acura etc. but have by far the best technology. All the other cars we looked at had clunky slow apps that weren't very capable. Tesla is unmatched in this regard (although I think CarPlay is fantastic, you still need to have a separate app to check level of charge, turn on climate control, schedule departure times etc.)
Don't expect better quality from this Volvo, expect a better looking, faster charging Chevy Bolt. Just like Tesla this is "decontented" aka stripped of buttons, but to an even bigger extent. Way more hard plastic and piano black too. And they even skimped on the center screen which is what annoys me most about my Tesla. Still might lease one as a second vehicle though.
If you want the Volvo that beats the pants off Tesla it certainly should, its 20k more (for the one with good sound system and pano roof like the Tesla and has crappy range as it was their early EV efforts).
It is one of reasons i haven't gotten a Tesla.
They didn't.... Geely made this and it's Volvo rebadge of a car already sold by 2 other companies (Zeeker and Smart)

How does repair work after an accident? Can regular body shops source the parts needed to repair it?
Volvo Cars was sold to Geely in 2010 and was publicly listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm stock exchange in 2021, but Geely still retains majority ownership.

Probably better to ask this in a Tesla thread (and certainly better if you want further discussion) but short answer is:
Tesla has their own showroom and service centers- directly owned and operated rather than franchised like a dealer... they've got 1000 of them worldwide, with hundreds in the US.
They ALSO have a mobile service fleet that'll come to your house for work that doesn't require a vehicle lift (which is most stuff really) and they've got almost 2000 of those.
For body work you've got all those service centers, plus a slew of third-party options including ones Tesla certifies, or just any old body shop if you prefer- all of which can apply to order parts from Tesla. The only difference is only the Tesla-approved 3rd party places can do structural repair, the non-approved ones can only do light collision work (replacing a bumper or a door or whatever)
This is needs to be mentioned as well in the body or subject of this deal by the OP that this is the smallest of their SUVs, $500 deposit, a year wait time, Gen 1 ( possibly too many recalls, performance issues and what not ... see Lucid and Rivian, plagued by issues issues and more issues ) and no final price is provided.

...although why a compact suv IS a bit crazy, like asking for a tiny truck.
But Mazda CX-3 manages to sell, so....
