Small but still designed to look like a gas car with too much high blocky hood length and almost no frunk utilization.
Polestar and Volvo could step away from traditional gas car design language. For this car you have a pointless for function long hood. You suffer inside because of that misplaced priority with the unnecessary limitation of back seat legroom and less wheelbase. An MG4 is the car to compare for current design of an ev. Good rear legroom. It's got a 2705mm wheelbase vs. 2650mm for this Volvo. 2 inches right there. 4287mm length vs. 4233mm for the EX30. The difference shows in the back door dimension.

Still not too late to cancel your Model 3 order if you FOMO'd into that. This Volvo is worth the wait and wipes the floor of Tesla for less money with much better quality.

I can't afford a new car. It needs to be at least 3 years old for me to be able to think about it.

you assume 3 years old is even going to be 3 grand cheaper in this market. maybe if you found the unicorn used private party that is 3 years old that some dealer didnt snatch so they can add 2 grand and 4 grand in a warranty and protection package.

isn't it different for leases?
Looks that way. I wasn't aware before, but the lease loophole shifts the tax benefit from the individual Clean Vehicle credit to a Commercial Clean Vehicle Credit. It seems like congress focused on creating the more restrictive qualifications for getting the tax credit just for individuals and is kicking the can down the street on addressing commercial vehicles. @Knightshade was absolutely right. I'd be curious if they plan on closing this loophole in upcoming sessions. Also, curious on were state level incentives go for leased EV vehicles.

The Model 3 is 42k and built in a tent with the worst build quality and nonexistent customer service. The Volvo is 35k. Its a Volvo. Nuff said.
It's a Geely? Maybe built in Daqing?

what kind of charger does this use? will my 120W usb-c charger be good enough? lol

Seriously though, what is the volvo network of charger? if it uses its own proprietary charger, there is no way it would be as comprehensive as that of tesla. and that might be a turn off factor.

workaround with "lease"
It's not really a workaround because a lease has fees that will eat the credit even if they give it to you. This car is cheap because its Chinese junk. Hopefully when it starts breaking down on US roads it does not explode like the YT video's show Chinese EV's tend to do.

You are faking,
it is not cheap, it is 30% more expensive than sold in other market.
US market is lack of competition, dominated by Tesla

Thanks. That explanation is very clear. This Volvo looks very attractive and well priced and that's why I started doing the groundwork. The charging station I mentioned is in the neighbourhood and it's walkable (5-10 minutes). I see it's not expensive but it's not very convenient.
spend another $200 on an electric scooter to go back and forth.
