This is a great price for this light! I have many EDC flashlights and take the Sofirn Q8 with me for camping and for night walks. I love how bright it is especially illuminating such a large area. We used two of these to look for a missing person in a river bank (person was found safe) and it was very helpful to cover large areas at once. It is big in hand so you can't really carry in your pocket, but great to keep in your garage or on a workbench.

Update: You can now get an additional 25%off with the coupon Aa25sofirn that shows up when you go to the link, bringing the total down to $56 >Now $58.49

QA Note: Now $77.99 without coupon code

I created an account and got a $5 coupon. This brought it down to right under $70. No tax in FL as well. Seems like a beast of a light, I'm super excited to try this out camping.

Is this worth an upgrade from the SP36PRO? This brand is great bang for the buck.

I have a SP36PRO as well and this is far beyond it! I think it is a worthy upgrade. Sofirn is so underrated in the US. Once they get some traction here, we won't find them at these prices.

Yep, I created an account before I added it to my cart. I automatically got $5 discount during the checkout. I paid $69.74 with batteries.

Guys, if you pay using PayPal, Sofirm extracts your information from PayPal, but it puts your last name in the first name field and your first name in the last name field; you should manually swap this mistake.

That happened to me as well! It's kind of annoying, but it's all good in the end.

I have the 8000 lumen version (forgot the model number) and it's great. There is a map of button sequences that can show battery voltage and all kinds of stuff. My only complaints are it can get hot and I wish there was a carry handle to make it easier to wield on my nightly walks.

P.s. on the one that I have there is also a cap that disperses the light around the room better. It was like an extra $3 when I ordered mine.

Overall good quality and has been going strong for over a year. I charge it rarely cause it just keeps going. Though it will lower output as the voltage goes down. But still will give you a good peak brightness for short bursts.

Really tempted, but what situations people need to or want to use this high power flashlight? Night hunting, fishing. What else?

You guys getting 6500k or 5000k? And I'm assuming with battery? (Rechargeable) lastly are these good quality and lumens as advertised?

I have both, but 5000k is very slightly warmer. I got them with batteries since the batteries included are better than many on ebay. It is insanely bright and delivers what is advertised.

You can get a diffuser someone mentioned for a few bucks and can be used like a lantern with that. It can be good to use for camping or at home for power outages since it can also charge mobile phones serving as a powerbank.

Does the button always stay lit? I don't like that feature.

How are people's experiences with the runtimes on this light, especially at high output? It appears to be pretty poor from what I've been reading online and on Reddit.

The Q8 Plus appears to throttle down VERY fast and peak and/or it's higher output is more for bragging rights than actual usability.

This Sofirn versus something like a Thrunite TN36 (a light I've been keeping an eye on) pales in comparison in actual runtimes as the Thrunite can actually sustain high output MUCH longer than the Sofirn - which is the whole point, is it not?
