in my case, this turned out to be tuna "mush". the so-called chunks are 1/64 inch to 1/4 inch in diameter, and it's about 25% water. it works well as cat food.
Never use canned tuna as cat food. It lacks essential nutrients for cats. It's also too high in sodium for their tiny bodies. You can give them a small amount as a treat, but do not use as cat food.

This is a good deal at this price. The only thing I don't like about chunk light tuna in cans is that when I squeeze out the water sometimes a lot of the tuna squeezes out as well into the sink, so I prefer the pouches. But at this price, it's worth getting the cans. Thanks OP.

Water content is unrelated to the quality of tuna. Chunk light tuna has been awful since the 70s ... It's really tuna snot. Chunk white or solid white is much better. Additionally, good skip jack et al is a nice alternative.

They call it strainer and it's very useful for this situation .

Too high in sodium for their bodies? A cats liver is so efficient it can literally process and drink seawater.

This is because the solid type is from the larger tuna breeds which have 3 x as much mercury than what chunk light is made from-
That is, skip-jack, much smaller breed tuna
