So leave if you hate it here.

Personally I love video game deals. You don't see me crying that silly expensive Dyson items are posted 10 times per day or better yet "12-pack 15oz Chef Boyardee Overstuffed Beef Ravioli" being front page today. But I also realize my wants and needs don't necessarily apply to the other 8 billion other humans wandering the planet.

Comparing Fanatical and G2A seems like it's apples and oranges to me. I know I'll likely get downvoted first this opinion and explanation, but I'll state it anyway because I believe it is ethically correct.

My understanding:
Fanatical is 100% legit - all game keys purchased from Fanatical are licensed keys obtained through deals/partnerships with publishers.

G2A is grey market - maybe some keys are licensed and legit but others may be stolen, purchased using stolen credit cards, or purchased in a low-price region of the world and resold in a different region . There are also reports of some G2A keys not working and it being extremely hard to get your money back in such a situation.

To me, I think the comparison should be price of these guys via Fanatical vs some other reputable store (e.g. Steam). G2A as a comparison point starts down the road toward "hey you can save money by buying stolen merchandise or pirated keys"; it may not be all the way there but it's on that path IMO.

Yeah let's do a push for this "popular" deal. Get outta here with your spam. Wretched staff member ads are ruining what made slickdeals great.

You misunderstand entirely. The problem isn't video game deals. The problem is staff members posting advertisements as if they are deals, then artificially inflating their popularity.
They linked to a webpage which has a promotion, a promotion at a significant discount and relevant to much of the user base. Do you not understand how Slick Deals works? 90% of the posts (other than pricing errors and clearance) could be considered "advertisements" the way you are using the word.

Question, should they NOT post this? Would it make you feel better if the exact same deal was posted by a rando as opposed to staff member? Would you then complain that staff members were 'not doing enough' and making the users farm there own content?

Honestly you can make a pretty sick bundle of AAA games for as low as $3 each. I don't see the problem here. If this a random Amazon no name cell phone charger from a 3rd party seller then perhaps you might have a toe to stand on...not an entire leg but maybe the big toe on your weak side.

I've posted these types of deals before and I'm not staff. I'd rather hear people's opinions about these games than your rants about the site's staff.

I see both sides on this one. These fanatical deals are not a HUGE discount even if you buy the absolute best 2 or 3 games in the lineup from a key site. For example, Doom and Wolfenstein are $10.80 together on G2A. This is a decent deal for a very specific type of user who wanted to buy both Doom and Wolfenstein. No one else really benefits and they are banking on people loading up their cart with the other shovelware options.

It's a deal.
It is what is says on the tin.
Either you're bored with Wolfenstein games and skipped it or you're not and came in here to see it...
Right?

No worries I appreciate the response.

Anyways, I don't see the problem with reselling keys that people bought legitimately. If you buy a key it is yours to do with as you please. If publishers do not like this then they should NOT have such huge region based price discrimination that this is even possible. These are just keys delivered over the internet at minimal costs so the only justification is "well more of your neighbors have more money so we're gonna charge you more for no other reason than that."

I do not condone the sale of stolen keys or stealing credit cards. If this is true and widespread to the point that it is provable G2A is not doing anything to combat it then I think they should be shut down. But admittedly, seeing how they are a legitimate company operating legally in many countries, my gut assumption is to think these claims are exaggerated. Shady stuff and scams happen on Amazon and eBay, it doesn't mean the company running the entire website should be condemned.

Decent prices, terrible selection for regular Fanatical shoppers. I've gotten almost every game here at around this same price already from previous bundles. Repeats time and again.
