On paper this is a better deal, but when you look at the numbers the 3080ti is simply just limited by being inside a laptop. It barely performs better than the 3070ti in just about any game. Like we're talking about 10%-15% differences here in FPS.

If you need the extra 16gbs of RAM + the extra VRAM of the 3080ti then yeah this is a no brainer but if you're buying this laptop to actually game you're kinda just throwing away the extra $500.

You get the same 1TB SSD in 3070 ti laptop. Not sure if I would pay that much for extra 16 gb ram and better GPU.

3070ti only has 8gb vram. Even at 1080p there's already games stuttering unless textures set to medium

We had a deal on HP OMEN 17T-CK200. It basically had a i7-13 gen, rtx 4070, 32GB ram and 1TB sad for basically the same price. Any suggestions on what to pick? The vram on this is only 8gb though

I would go with this over HP, vram would be the bottleneck not the processor if it's for gaming.

The 4070(Actually a 4060 in all but name) is no improvement over 3070 Ti and 8 Gb of VRAM and low memory bandwidth is going to hurt it.

The 3080 Ti is much better.

I miss the other deal with 3070ti, it's cheaper. There's dell 10% off coupon making it $1439, then amex $120 cash back, chase 5%. That should make it around $1300. Worth it?

Can I ask how do you use amex and chase visa? Are they not different cards? Also, B e f r u g a l has 4% cashback. I'm debating getting this but only have chase visa for 5% back bringing me to around $1400 but I'll have to eat ramen for the rest of the month if I do..
