It's a ton of filler and not top of the line grass seed, but it's essentially an "idiot" proof product. If you're just using it to fill in bare spots, it will do the trick.

If you check the reviews on practically *any* grass seed at the big box places, there's a far more than non-zero comments that come down to "IT SUCKS", which really isn't that helpful.

Worked well for me over the years. Keep watering it several times a day tho. Should be patched in less than. 3 weeks.

I've used it in the past, and it's always worked. I bought some from Lowes during the Memorial day sale as it was $3 less than this price. It is "idiot proof" but when I've used it before I always noticed it was never a thick and hearty grass.

As I had literally nothing in my hard, and it's small area I'm working with I figured I'll roll the dice with this again. After 5 days of watering, and help of rain I got nothing. Hopefully after the 10th day (suggested 5-10 days you'll see something), I'll have grass

I was eyeing the Sun and Shade version that is the same size, a little more popular but at $48 when it was on sale and $50 at Costco. At $37 a bag with my $100 home depot gift card I gotta bite on this! My dog be digging a bunch of holes in my yard.

Just know that the tall fescue blade is much thicker and courser than what you'll find in the Sun & Shade. It also doesn't have the 'creeping' ability of the Sun & Shade varieties. It is however low maintenance and drought and shade tolerant.

I used this last month and it's terrific. I'm having patches that are 6" tall and this is with just moderate watering. You do have to water consistently though. Recommended 2-3 time for 4 mins but I was only doing once a day and even skipped a couple days but still got great results this past month

Do you guys put topsoil and a burlap or grass covering on it after putting it down. I've bought so much of this stuff over the years but it never seems to work. Maybe I'm speeding it too thin.
