The Kobalt tool chest, currently available at a $100 discount, is a great deal for those looking for a reliable storage solution for their tools. It offers excellent value for the price, especially when combined with the discounted Lowe's gift cards from Kroger.

When comparing the Kobalt tool chest to the $330 Harbor Freight workbench, there are a few factors to consider. While both options provide storage space for tools, the Kobalt tool chest is specifically designed for tool organization and storage. It may offer better organization features, such as drawers, compartments, and dividers, to help keep your tools in order.

On the other hand, the Harbor Freight workbench is primarily a work surface that can also accommodate tool storage. It may have a larger workspace compared to the Kobalt tool chest, which could be beneficial if you require more room for your projects.

However, during your visit to the store, you noticed the Husky tool chest, which seemed to have better build quality and offered an additional 6 inches of workspace for $399 at Home Depot. This option might be worth considering if you prioritize build quality and need the extra workspace.

It's important to note that Harbor Freight's sale has been extended, which means you can still take advantage of their discounted price. If you were considering the Kobalt tool chest but are now unsure due to the extended sale at Harbor Freight, you may want to carefully compare the features, build quality, and workspace offered by both brands before making a decision

*$399..I'm see the lowest price since November of $350. Combine with the Kroger $200 for $180 Lowe's eGift Card & earn 4X Fuel Points with purchase

Depends on the store how much you're actually saving based on the shown regular retail. Check one store regular is $449 check another store 15 minutes away and regular is $498. Kinda dumb to have local stores selling for different prices when in the same market. No matter the store it's still $399 with the "savings".

Same, shows as $399 for me. Regardless, the reviews on this are not the greatest. Major complaints appear to be centered around thin steel, rust from the factory, and poor/non-functional locking mechanisms.

At this price point, you're probably better off going to Harbor Freight and getting this:

I wish harbor freight wasn't always playing the discount game but their series 3 stuff might just be legit.

So this is not originally $498, it's originally $449 and it says as much on the product page...

The Husky is a no-brainer for $20 more. It is the same 46" width, but is 24.5" deep vs 18.1" for this Kobalt. I bought the Husky years ago and ZERO regrets!
The Harbor Freight is also 18-1/4" deep. The Husky is the best.

This is the most ridiculous thing I've read in the past 24 hours.

I was kinda on the fence on Husky vs Yukon. When I looked online, it seemed people overwhelmingly preferred the Husky to the Yukon.

The US General ones Harbor Freight seem to be higher build quality than the Yukon ones.

Just the consensus sentiment I found when I was researching online. I haven't made a decision yet. Almost pulled the trigger on a Yukon but then I backed out last second after seeing what people said online.

This one seems very similar to the Yukon with a few added features and I don't think US General has any workbench cabinets. Personally, I'd choose the Husky (see link above in jjmlll's post).

You new here? Been bots posting for years and ChatGPT since release.

Anyways, nice find but only this color available. I'm in the market but not looking to get the bootlicker special. Thank you for posting.

I have an 18 and 24" deep Husky tool chest. Go with the 24" every time. its a game changer.
