I recently got almost the same bundle, but with integrated gpu (i7-12700K). I can tell it was worth it. Video transcoders while using iGPU showed 20x for the FHD 30fps (from h.264 to h.265). RTX3060 showed 14.5x.

Thank you for posting this. This looks like a more credible motherboard with better reviews. The MSI PRO Z690 seems like it's on sale everywhere and seems like there are some bios issues.

I'll purchase the Tomahawk board, with your recommendation!

Forgive the noob question but are you stating that the CPUs with AGPUs are better at transcoding than a CPU paired with a discrete GPU?

Intel iGPUs (especially the newer ones) are very well optimized for stuff like plex/jellyfin video transcoding. They are also much more power efficient than running an external GPU if that's your primary use-case

They are very bad if the Mobo does not have Thunderbolt, and you do photo or video editing. Basically staying in the stone age speeds of eSATA.
