If you'd call yourself an audiophile, no, but they are good for the average user. You can tune it a bit through the software but I don't believe the tuning sticks if you were to use it on a console, phone, etc. Been a while since I've used it not on my PC.

If you use it to multitask with work or school, I do get comments that I have the clearest sounding mic on Zoom.

Aside from Bluetooth capability, minimal differences from the Arctis 7+ which has been on sale for $99.
Still, I'm curious to hear the audio/mic quality on the new Nova 7 compared to previous Arctis 7/7+ models.

The Arctis 7 series headsets have been my absolute favorite headsets because they're the ONLY quality wireless headset with game/chat toggle on the headset itself. (Essential for quick discord vol. adjust during FPS games or when AFK)

One negative when switching from 7 to Nova 7 is that the game / chat volume control requires the Sonar software for Nova 7. It was hardware based on the 7. On the positive side, the Nova 7s feel a bit lighter and are usb-c.

Nova 7 can do simultaneous bluetooth & wireless audio which was nice for console gaming + discord at the same time. I saw was because discord got natively added to Xbox and I heard a rumor it's being added to playstation but no idea. It's also good for people using as a work headset and for mobile audio.

The nova 7x is the one to buy if you needed the most compatibility since it works for pc/ps & Xbox unless that doesn't mean anything for you then this is fine.

I agree, I have the Arctis 7X and use them for Xbox, PS4, PS5, and PC. they work great. The Nova is closer to a "mid cycle refresh" more than a rebuild from ground up. Honestly either one is a great option. Arctis 7X has the tiny switch on the receiver that allows for use with Xbox and other platforms. I dont know if that switch exists on this Nova 7. But if you don't have Xbox, then it doesn't matter.

I have been using these for about 8 months now and I love them. I had the logitech G935 before this as I travel for work and needed some gaming headphones. The added bluetooth and the ability to use both options was game changing. The mute button took some getting use to as I have a flip up mic on most my headsets. The mute button on mine has become very sensitive but the red light at the end of the mic lets me know I'm muted. They are comfortable and light. I do feel like the clamp on these could be tighter. The push in mic is beneficial as well, makes answering calls in an airport during travel easy when you are carrying luggage, then pushes out of the way when you don't need it. Bass is decent for what it is. I use a Nintendo Switch when traveling and this has a dongle you plug right into the bottom of it. If i could purchase these again I would shell out the cash for the pro. I use a Drop Sennheiser PC38x for home and the sound is not as good but close.

Wait, so if I want to use chat/vol mixing I have to use Sonar then? I have a pair if 7's that I've been using for like 5 years and would love something that's USB-C based instead of micro as well as to rotate some headsets around but if that's the case it'll be a pass for me.

I currently use this for my PS5 and it's superb. Feels like a super high end set with all the metal accents but at a fraction of the cost. I am very happy with them

I wonder if using a USB-C connection adapter would allow this to plug into PS4 consoles?

I heard the mic on these things are horrible compared to a lot of the other headsets in similar price ranges like the black shark v2 wireless and the Corsair's. This technology is outdated this headset came out years ago no? I'd buy a cheap headset like the H65 surround on Amazon that's on sale now for $40 (deal is on here somewhere) and wait for a newer version to come out. Lot of price drops coming up soon when we hit a major recession too. Just my 2 cents.
