Get your new phone up and running first. Look for any issues for a week.
Do a factory reset on your old phone. take a picture of the screen with your new phone to show no issues of front and back while on. In case Samsung employee tries to pull a fast one on you.
Turn your old phone off and wrap it up. You can dop off at any Fedex drop off location or find a Dollar General store. They will scan the package and send a receipt notice via text to your phone. Samsung will receive a couple business days later and let you know they receive. Few more days until they get a chance to review and ok the trade-in.

Also, are people getting an extra $100 discount I have seen mentioned, if yes, how?
I see one for $469. Was that it? Had to use recertified instead of refurb
(I ask this because the cb 10% only applies on the browser-completed transactions?)
