No free memory upgrade to 512gb. With regular offer at 512GB free upgrade, it is $427 with education discount comparing to $449, hence not good deal for 512GB version. But good deal for 256GB.

The biggest upgrade is the 8gen2. I own both s22u and s23u, the s22u is constantly a hot potato while s23u is at most warm under heavy load. Other than the processor, the battery life is a huge improvement. At $200 difference probally it makes sense to upgrade but not over that.

They ship you your new phone with packing material. Some soft sheeting and a lot of cardboard that is long, shredded like a pair of 80s jeans, rolled up on the new phone. A fedex return label will be inside. You will need to tape it to the outside of the box, on top of the original label (or remove the original label and apply new one).

Get your new phone up and running first. Look for any issues for a week.

Do a factory reset on your old phone. take a picture of the screen with your new phone to show no issues of front and back while on. In case Samsung employee tries to pull a fast one on you.

Turn your old phone off and wrap it up. You can dop off at any Fedex drop off location or find a Dollar General store. They will scan the package and send a receipt notice via text to your phone. Samsung will receive a couple business days later and let you know they receive. Few more days until they get a chance to review and ok the trade-in.

I called Samsung two days ago about this. 512GB Lime and Blue the price jumps $100 in cart. I swear they just don't care or IT staff works mon-fri noon to 5pm shifts, stoned. Like their fake deals week a couple weeks ago. Countdown clock goes to zero but for a couple hours nothing happens, it doesn't go live. Then I found four price cart glitches. I call them to let them know. They didn't do anything, let the bad price glitches expire for that deal period.

Anybody able to get the 512GB for good price?

Are we thinking Samsung will run a different sale for the 512GB?

Feels wrong to trade in a 512 for a 256.

Makes me feel like I should never buy another 512 again when 256 is valued the same.
I felt the same. But I personally never paid extra for higher storage. I am trading in s22 ultra 512gb for s23 ultra 256gb since I need a better battery life than extra memory at this moment. Also, I got s22 ultra 512gb at free memory upgrade program at samsung. If I am missing extra gigs, Next time I can go with 512gb. Anyways trade in is always going to be same.

The only problem I have with the S23 256GB is the 8gb of RAM. I'd rather get the 12gb of RAM version.

Would love to trade-in my S21 Ultra but I'm with T-Mobile and unless you upgrade to their way over-priced Go Plus plan they basically give you basically have to pay full price.

$250 extra for entire phone upgrade and 256 gb & 8gb ram seems worth. Another $180 just for memory upgrade is not reasonable for me given that trade in value is going to be same.. I can live with 8gb for another 6 months and if I feel it not enough, Will make use of pre order offer for s24 ultra which may come with free storage upgrade 😉

I've tried multiple times to get them to give me a cart link with the price corrected and each time they do the price remains $429 and then they talk to support and give me BS excuses. The latest one is

"we are not able to use EPP discount if we are using trade in credits"

LOL really? I use EPP with trade in credits all the time.

I'm with Tmobile and am getting the unlocked one. It's outrageous that they want you to change plans to upgrade your phone. I will never do that. My grandfathered plan is so much better.

What is the best price someone can get for a pixel 7 pro trade in? I have first responders discount. I have the pixel 7 pro and this phone had been a nightmare of disconnects and issues.
