Buying from Samsung charges tax on the full price of the device. Picking up from BB B&M only charged tax on the $250. YMMV but worth a try.

Get your new phone up and running first. Look for any issues for a week.
Do a factory reset on your old phone. take a picture of the screen with your new phone to show no issues of front and back while on. In case Samsung employee tries to pull a fast one on you.
Turn your old phone off and wrap it up. You can dop off at any Fedex drop off location or find a Dollar General store. They will scan the package and send a receipt notice via text to your phone. Samsung will receive a couple business days later and let you know they receive. Few more days until they get a chance to review and ok the trade-in.

I have to wait at least 3 business days for an email then I jus screen shot the deal I was supposed to get along with let them know my ref/tix chat# and I can get it at that price point
And yes, worth the upgrade.
Ehh, I see it if I add phone to cart in app but they decreased TIV on my s22+ from $600 to $500. No trigger for me.

ATT version came out to $99 for the 256 if you chose ATT financing. But I'm on the prepaid plan, so I couldn't get that to go through.
If you took screenshots throughout the process you have a shot.
I got no where with the online teams. The phone reps just try to have you place an order and don't like escalating to their boss. But once I got to the manager it was pretty straightforward
