If this had the flat plug vs straight out plug, I would get it

The straight out plug puts strain on the outlet and cord. Also doesn't allow the covering too lay flatter (see the amazon pics).

Do you know if the individual spot thing is true for TP link Kasa as well? If they do, dont want another for another 'smart' plug

I have one of these..but not the smart monitoring. Use it on my back deck, even have an Alexa hooked up to it lol I live in heavily wooded area and about every 2 or 3 years they get blown out..even though it is in a gfi receptacle. Buying for back up..come on thunderstorm's

Hi quick question. I'm looking for one for the outdoors and the location gets lots of direct sunlight. Do you think you use any cover for this model? Also, do you know the device needs a hub? Is it support SmartLife app for iPhone? Sorry, too many questions.
