Seem like decent prices all around. Can't speak on Costway as a brand though.

Now waiting for all of the comments about how bad the one-hose portable A/Cs suck..

The "10000 BTU" models have a SACC rating between 5000 BTU and 7000 BTU. This takes into account the "one hose vs. two hose" thing.

This has a SACC value of 12,000 BTU for $350.

it's been so long since I did research on single vs dual hose, is it still better to get dual hose regardless? Or has tech caught up that single hose is almost as good? I'm looking for something for my 12x12 bedroom, for small sized room is dual hose still preferred? Thanks for any insight

Just compare the SACC values to get apples-to-apples comparison for how much cooling your money is buying. "Generally", dual-hose will be significantly better, but for 1 or 2 summers, that might not be worth $300. Probably worth $70 though. I haven't yet seen single-hose units that are better than dual-hose units, but some YouTubers say they exist. I have seen some months when there aren't any dual-hose units on a good sale and I'd 100% go with a single-hose unit on sale with a worse but usable SACC, because the single-hose unit is SO much cheaper if no dual-hose units are on sale.

In a super ideal world, the room you're cooling would be a corner unit with windows on different walls and you'd put an exhaust hose on one wall and the intake hose on a different wall. No portable unit is made like this though. The reason is because with the hoses side-by-side the "cool intake" will be sucking in some "hot exhaust". Probably improved if your window opens to the side and you can rotate the dual-hose plate so the hot hose is above the cold hose. But IRL there will be some cross-flow from exhaust to input. But the SACC test should take this into account anyways.
