Yes it does - but it's even worse, there's a 10 day window to use it, "...valid 7/7/23-7/17/23"

Not showing when 100 card added to cart. Usually shows another cart entry of $20 promo card as what was done in last on similar promotions

It's a promo code. It holds no current value. They will email one to you once it's closer to the validity date. I expect one to arrive at the end of June - the beginning of July.

in the past, the bonus gc was emailed to me shortly before the allowed time. I vaguely recall last time just buying blindly with it hoping to show up and it did.

I wanted an Arc'Teryx item around $130, and it's typically excluded from all the coupon promotions. This seems like the only way to get a mild discount on the purchase, so.. not bad!

I use these each year to stock up on food/gels/whatever. I know I'll use them, and $20 gets a worthwhile amount.

For those worried about the 10 day bonus window:

Buy the $100 gift card, wait for the bonus card to be emailed, then log into your REI account and use both gift cards to buy a new digital gift card for $120, combining both balances. New gift card doesn't expire.

These promotions are a slick way to get a discount on REI reSupply items and clearance items that otherwise aren't coupon eligible.
