They record video... But they should have never released these with 1080, but for 45 they get the job done. I use the tactacam for hunting on my guns, so these are cool for extra battery. I ahve the remotes and more so... maybe i will get another.
Not sure if still the case but this review says while they like it, "The Tactacam, automatically embeds a "FISH-i" logo on screen (lower left), definitely frustrating if you prefer "clean video" without doing a commercial for Tactacam." https://crappienow.com/MAG/2020/0...ard-simms/

Correct... It sucks... And the advertisement is stupid because the quality is not great. I would use for B-roll...
I have the shoulder mount, remote, lens, and more... Like I said, I use the other cameras hunting and tried this company out. I had one camera completely fail on a shot .. only sound was recorded. Pissed me off to where I hardly use them. The other worked too well. Not something I want to watch, lol
Reviews aren't great for this cam. Wanna pickup one but after watching a few ytube reviews, I'll prob pass. Audio is pretty bad and the actual image quality is pretty dark. And one reviewer points out the app isn't supported on new phones. It sure if that's accurate, but multiple reviews say the app crashes often.

It sucks that so many cameras are entirely app-dependent these days. I had a couple of Samsung 360-degree cameras that were a lot of fun to play with but they stopped supporting the app after a while and now they're useless. A real shame.
What are these actually for? I'm seriously struggling to understand....when I go fishing it's to try and catch fish with the kiddos, this seems like one of those narcissistic/ewaste items.

YouTube fisherman, but of course a go pro is likely far better, even an older model.
I'm not sure what makes a camera a fishing camera. I was expecting this to be some type of underwater camera that maybe attaches to your fishing line, this just seems like an odd shaped camera with some marketing.
