"6 months later, this wont turn on - This was a Christmas gift, so about 6 months of light indoor use with no accidents, the computer won't stay on and many times acts as though it will start but then just turns off. On-line forums show that this is a recurring problem with Lenovo. I should have heeded the warnings"
"MY version has 32GB of memory and 1 TB SSD and overall is a very good machine for most.... but not for photographers and Zoomers. The ARC 370 GPU has created nothing but problems with Adobe products. The new Ai features either don't work or are very slow. Also the built in web camera is horrible. It works but the quality is poor. I happen to have a Logitech webcam which is use to get around this issue. No way to get around the GPU issues except avoiding Adobe photoshop and lightroom."
" A $1500 mistake I wont make again, I purchased a Lenovo - Slim 7i - Laptop Computer - Intel Core i7-12700H - 16" WQXGA Touchscreen Display - 16GB - 1TB SSD - Intel Arc A370M Graphics - Windows 11 in November 2022. I'm writing this six months later. The battery performed as written for several months, then suddenly, I can't get more than about 3 hours worth of battery life. Also, it crashes - a lot. Multiple times a day. Even just using MS Word, it suddenly highlights any text, switches to all caps, and has to be restarted to perform properly for a couple of hours. It will freeze online as well; basically, anything you do for a couple of hours, make sure you're saving as you go. This is without a doubt the worst computer I've bought in decades."
"Dont buy this laptop- it overheats. Lenovo warranty is useless - At first glance, this is a great laptop. Its layout, feel and speed are impressive. HOWEVER, it has a history of overheating. Some of the processors run over 90C. It is likely to fail catastrophically, during use.
The laptop comes with Lenovo Premier service. They are easy to contact and polite. HOWEVER, the only option they offer for a machine under warranty is to order parts and send someone to repair the laptop at your house. You cant return it and they wont give you a replacement. This process can take weeks, maybe months, I dont know.
In the meantime the customer is stuck with a machine that may fail.
So, the machine has a known defect. The manufacturer warranty terms are not acceptable to most users. I would never buy another Lenovo"
"Don't Buy - 65 days into the power button broke. Can't turn the thing on. What a waste of money."
I'm not cherry picking either. Those are all the newest reviews on Amazon, right now. On paper, this laptop looks good, the specs seem good, and the price seems good, but after reading all these reviews, I'm totally on the fence. I dunno, if not sure I'm willing to roll the dice and risk it, especially on a refurb.

This should be an official Lenovo refurbished product, so you should be getting a like new unit.
add on a egpu if u really wanna game AAA stuff
Believe it or not, some people use their laptops to get work done. And those people usually want the best tool for their job.
I spent 2 secs Googling this graphics card and found this in a Forbes review from July of 2022...
It competes with the NVIDIA RTX A2000 in the "creator space".
In the near future, as more apps start to enable CPU and GPU-accelerated encoding like Deep Link, it will become harder to compare systems.
In Photoshop the performance of the A370M was most impressive—an overall score of 1168 and a GPU score of 111.7. These numbers put the A370M development notebook into competition with other notebooks on the Puget public benchmark results, including a Lenovo system with the same CPU and a RTX 3060 GPU (with 1272 points total and a GPU score of 122.8).
While the A370M didn't beat it, it did come considerably closer to a 3060 than I expected.
On Premiere Pro, the Arc 3 development notebook came back with a total score of 591 and a GPU score of 30.
This puts the A370M ahead of the NVIDIA RTX 3050 in most results, but behind the 3060 in others.
As you can tell, performance can vary from app to app.
It's worth it to dive deep on these benchmarks to see how your GPU will fare with the specific programs you use regularly.
For the most part, the A370M is doing quite well and keeping up with the competition."

Same seller also has the Legion 5 Pro for $800 before discount. 16gb ram and heavier/bulkier gaming laptop, but seems to have the same 500 nit 1600p screen with a 3050ti if you want something more for gaming vs a portable work laptop.

Do I keep waiting for it to go under $600?
I guess these are mainly Costco returns?
Not refurbs 😉

Edit. Looks like the 8% discount has been removed. This has happened at least once since I started watching this laptop and it came back within 24-48 hours.
