I if you already have an Android phone a telescopic gamepad would serve the purpose.

I'll bite, in for one! Got the Anbernic RG35XX for my wife a few weeks ago and we've been blown away by it. I've got zero doubt that this thing can do everything it says it is capable of, and well. The analog sticks will be a nice addition for the newer games this thing can handle. Highly suggest looking into Garlic OS if you are going this route.

Disagree. The buttons and dpad are trash. No idea how they feel on this one, though.

"Serve the purpose" and do a good job are slightly different concepts. A Swiss Army knife is a great example of something that works...just not well.

I have no comment to this actual device however I have used a few different Bluetooth and 'telescopic gamepads' (that connect via USB C) and while functional none are particularly good at the job they claim to be doing. Also unless you are using an old phone you'll be constantly bothered by notifications while trying to game. The fact that all fit rather poorly and in regards to the USB C connector being at an odd angle I worry that the device might actually hurt the phone over time. For example the Razer Kishi. I even 3D printed an adapter for my (old) phone and that still stresses the USB C connector. Not to mention the flex of poor fitment over a solid purpose built device.

Agreed. I have a Kishi and find it "okay" at best. I think most Bluetooth controllers by 8bitdo with a phone adapter are a much better idea for most people.
