I'm not sure how great of a deal this is but it might be good for someone.
Comes with a charger and can be returned for 30 days so that may be appealing for some.

That's a very generic and lazy statement though.
1) It's not $300.
2) These are selling for around the neighborhood of $200 on eBay and average $276 on Swappa, so it's not like $260 is an outlandish price for buying the laptop and oem charger from a site with a 30 day guaranteed return.
3) MacOS Monterey is current and supports this laptop, so it's still perfectly usable right now. In general, Macbooks get decently long support and hold their value pretty well.

Just because a laptop is old doesn't necessarily mean it's not worth $300, you have to evaluate each product individually.
The facts are that this is a laptop that can run a modern, supported OS and the pricing is in line with other sites. If it's not a great value for you, that's fine, but a good deal isn't defined by just one person's parameters.

Not a Mac expert but 4GB isn't horrendous even on Win10 if your storage drive is fast. I prefer 8GB as a minimum but if the use case is office stuff and some internet things, 4GB is fine for most people.
I would assume folks buying an Air (let alone an older one) are not power users but just looking to stay in the Apple ecosystem and do basic stuff.

To be fair (cue Letterkenny), if you even THINK you might want more RAM, don't buy this because the Air has soldered memory.

right, right, "640K ought to be enough for anybody," LMAO LMAO

And hello 2012! Wave as that was the last model year of them *not* soldering RAM on *all* their portables, that's the point! Now where is this brick with 4Gb of non-upgradeable RAM when my mid 2010 MacBook (white - look them up!) has 16Gb, as does my 2012 MacBook Pro. Think about what must have happened since then - what ought to have happened vs what did happen (#Applegreed), - let that sync in for a bit! Or why do you think these are so cheap?
