My research indicates this deal is $26 lower than the next reputable merchant

I use this thing 3x a week. It's as simple as it gets and you can't leave it alone but get yourself 2 metal spoons and youll never use anything else for stir fry.

These are pretty popular at Arrowhead tailgates. I've seen these used for almost everything.

Dont expect to achieve the wok hei with this. Only 54000 btu. You need 100000+ btu to have the authentic taste, but this is still better than a gas stove.

Do you use this guy on the ground or propped up on some bricks/cinderblocks? Also, about how long does it usually take the wok to cool off to be able to bring it in to wash off?

I have it on a small patio on the side of the house with my other grills. I actually serve in this so I bring it in immediately. I bought a pizza pan and converted it into a lid. I assemble the full dish outside on the cooker then bring it in and serve out of it. Then I just wash, dry and put a thin coat of oil on it. It's a steal at 40 I'm about to buy another.

Is the wok itself stainless or carbon steel and of good quality?

My GF is Asian and I don't dare bring an inferior wok home.

Haha, damnit, just got me to buy this. Love wok cooking in the kitchen, but have a horribly undersized range hood. Sold wife on the idea with not smoking out half the house every time I fire it up.

I just went ahead and snagged one and a propane splitter with gauge from Amazon. During the AC season, we pretty much grill outside every night, other than boiling water or something that needs a burner.

Been wanting an outdoor burner, and this might turn out to be more useful as I can hopefully use it outdoors as a fryer with the included wok. We don't want to fry inside, and maybe want to fry 2-4x per year, but doing it ouside after a fishing trip would be awesome.

I mean. Seems like a pretty good lower cost wok better then the stove not as good as built in 200k BTU pro unit. Temper expectations and we will all be happy!

Just had some katsu the other day and never fry inside due to the mess...but this is mighty tempting.

By the way, highly recommend this as a starter recipe! https://www.thaicookbook.tv/thai-...-eggplant/
