You are confused. Very rural area, think 100s of acres with no houses.
If you don't have no trespassing signs up, or purple painted on trees people will just come and walk the land. This is for on the trees inlue of no trepassing signs, not on the ground.
You spray paint your property line on a regular basis?
My exact thoughts... WTF ... as neighbors, we know our yard boundaries ... for our wooded area, all surrounding woodland owners know their lines (or close to it), and before something is built or changed, we would have a survey done if it was to be right up to a property line anyhow ... or run a string from marker to marker. If you are spray painting your property line, either you have some ahole neighbors or your the ahole because someone stepped on your property.
I have neighbors in denial of their actual property boundary. Especially when their trees break their own sprinklers and ask me to pay for it. When showing the property lines… they get huffy about how that's not their u sweat and when they bought it.
Friend has neighbors who tried to encroach a few extra feet when setting up a fence…. Greedy neighbors are far too common… ordinarily nice people turn into aholes.

My mom and dad have that problem. Much easier to hand the neighbor a copy of the survey and tell him he's a "dick" than to spend money and time painting the lawn.

You don't paint the lawn, you put markings on trees. It's like a no trespassing sign. Frequently used to keep hunters off of ones property.

You spray paint the fence posts on the property lines. this works in Texas. 1 can wouldn't last long of you're painting the 'line'on the ground.around your whole property ...

Looked it up and looks like 14 states have such laws.
