I agree the price is too much even on sale currently
This blower is a total game changer. I upgraded from the 18V blower and it's like comparing a golf cart to a Ferrari.
Two notes here. One, going from an older "non-whisper series" Ryobi 40v blower to this is remarkably quieter, not to mention a noticeable power boost with the with industry leading 730 CFM/190MPH specs. Two, I know YMMV, but if you're already in the 40v universe and flush with batteries, consider the tool only option from DTO. Depending on sales etc, you can find this as low as $100. I paid $120 back in April (+$15 shipping and taxes) for a reconditioned unit that was like new. https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...4010BTLVNM

My willow tree drops an exorbitant amount of leaves. My 18v couldn't even nudge a handful of leaves. Got this a couple years back and it picks up the leaves and sticks easy. Really powerful and makes "raking" my entire yard a breeze.

As someone who has a Ryobi gas blower and this, I can vouch for never even wasting time pulling out my gas blower anymore.

Granted, I'm not using it to do a spring cleanup or remove tons of leaves, but for spot treatments where even my gas blower was needed, I just use this. a little heavy to use because of how you have to hold it, and it will eat tons of batteries, but totally worth it for electric

I agree that uless you really need the batteries, tool only purchase from DTO when on sale is a better deal.

Been debating weather to go with this blower or the Makita one to blow the dust off the floor at work for when I'm gonna do wall layout.
I own both of the eco systems but don't use Ryobi at work only at home or for camping/outdoor use.

Agreed for the most part. I was disappointed with my 18v Ryobi blowers and delegated them to dust removal off the patio.

However this 40V is strong and I won't use the gas one except for one purpose now, to use the adapter to blow leaves out of the gutter a few times in between actually getting the ladder out. Ryobi needs to create a snap on gutter blower for this or into the expand it line. Would be a stellar tool.

How does this do with spider and bug removal for patio roofs? I normally sweep the 10' roof on my patio but that sometimes leaves bug smears. I'd rather just blow them all off but they cling.

If you blow them off, won't they just come back? Or just find another spot to annoy you Smilie

Last time I bought a 40v blower from DTO when it was on 50% off sale, I bought this for 59$ and it came with a 5amp battery. It's reconditioned but It arrived like a new one. I suggest wait for the next DTO deal. https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...RY40480VNM

That's a less powerful 525 CFM/110 MPH model though. OP's deal is for the 730 CFM/190 MPH model, which as far as I'm aware is the most powerful blower that Ryobi makes.
