I just bought this TV. The picture quality is like that of a Sony Bravia. I just came from a Sony Bravia 900f and TCL'S subsidiary CSOT makes the Bravia panels. TCL also has a very similar color science. This is the cheapest you will ever find a 120hz gaming TV. It has VRR, ALLM and Dynamic Tone Mapping. It includes Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It has over 200 dimming zones.

I just bought this TV. The picture quality is like that of a Sony Bravia. I just came from a Sony Bravia 900f and TCL'S subsidiary CSOT makes the Bravia panels. TCL also has a very similar color science. This is the cheapest you will ever find a 120hz gaming TV. It has VRR, ALLM and Dynamic Tone Mapping. It includes Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It has over 200 dimming zones.

How would this compare to the new Hisense mini-LED U6K? That's their most affordable Mini-LED at the moment, should be available within the next few weeks.

I also have 75" 900F that I love. I'm looking for a 65" for a pool house. I was looking at the Hisense U8H but this is $200 less. Very Intriguing. Thank You.

No. It's a FALD which is the previous sister technology. It's a bunch of LED's lighting up the panel from behind just like Mini LED.

I saw a placeholder on a store website that said the Hisense K series would be out on June 19th. I'm definitely waiting until then to get pricing.

So is the Q7 tech similar to the TCL 5 series from prior year (4k full array LED, etc.)? Did TCL change their numbering scheme this year to mimic that of Hisense to make it easier to compare?

They haven't because it just came out and I believe they procure all their TVs from local vendors.

Q7 is a replacement for the 6 series from last year.

How does this compare against Samsung QN85B( the neo QLED TV ) ..I got that from Sam's club at $710 .. which was a clearance price ..

Keep the QN85B unless you really want Dolby Vision. This only has 2 ports HDMI 2.1 and plus the Samsung build quality should be better.
