Heads up to those thinking about Cync (C by GE) lights and switches. The app is required for many of the features and using the app is a bag of hurt. Simply put the Cync app is broken, and they refuse to fix the issues. Hardware works but the Cync app is the weakest link and without it functionality is very limited.

The only issue I've had with mine is maybe 1 out of 20x the app says it can't detect the switches. However the functions still all work as expected.

Yep that's how it starts.. then suddenly you can't connect remotely and other switches, bulbs, etc.. start to not respond. Then support ask you to delete your home wiping everything out and start with a new home. That's fine if you have 1 or 2 devices, but when you have upwards of 10, that's a lot of work resetting, renaming and building all the automations over again. I wish you luck.
