Is this a good deal for a starter kit or should I hold out for a better Father's day sale? Thanks
I don't know if this is a Great price.. but imho I'd see about the Drill/Impact combo.. I know this is a Great drill.. I have a lot of the Milwaukee products I use daily.

Depends on what you currently have. There is Milwaukee and then the plus you get with the Fuel line. I've got Fuel, basic red, basic yellow and XR tools and the cost, size, power and features of this Fuel Hammer Drill made me swipe the card. You have at least 90 days to change your mind if you don't open it.

Thanks for the reply & yeah been holding out for a impact and drill combo or maybe a deal with two 5 Amp batteries

There is a deal (which isn't the best deal right now) for just the batteries and charger alone for $199. I still had it in my cart and I'm glad I passed.

Thanks for the reply. I'm open to XR or fuel, as I've been using a basic, cheap drill combo. Dewalt recently had an XR hammer drill and atomic sale, that I almost pulled the trigger for $299. You're right I can return it. Thanks for the help

This is an ok deal if you need it right now. Milwaukee runs a promo quite often for $199 buy a starter kit (2x 5.0amp batteries and a charger) and get a free tool. This drill is normally one of the free tools.
You can also return the starter kit if you have enough batteries and keep the drill for $99
I have the M12 Fuel hammer drill but recently started getting M18 tools. I'm missing the M18 drill so think I will jump on this
Actually I'm in the different boat, I have the Dewalt 20V tools set, but wana get some compact tools for house & auto repair. I have been keeping eyes on the M12 combo kit, but no luck yet.

I use m12 almost exclusively.. I install cabinetry and use the M18 table and miter saw too.. just got the m18 track saw.. haven't used it yet. Hope this helps
I have a mix of M12 and M18 tools.
Thought I needed this drill so I got the HD starter pack / free tool combo.
I returned it 3 days later after trying to build a deck. The tools were powerful enough but my fingers kept hitting the reverse / forward button constantly. By the 2nd day this became really annoying.
I do not have this problem with the M12 stuff I have.
Thought maybe it was a glitchy drill feature but the impact driver did the same thing. And yes, probably a "me" thing, but it's the 1st Milwaukee tools I have ever returned.
I'm a bigger fan of the Ace deal if you need one of the free tools and hard case.

I hit the reverse on my Milwaukee drill all the time and I don't get it because it's somewhat awkward to switch when I want to. π€
