B&H Photo Video [bhphotovideo.com] has the Hisense PX1-PRO 2200-Lumen XPR 4K UHD Smart Ultra-Short Throw Laser DLP Projector for $1,999.99. I purchased this projector last week for $2199 and it has been awesome. It's very highly-reviewed and similar to their higher-end L9G, but doesn't require an expensive ALR screen to work well. We're currently projecting about a 90" screen on bare wall and it performs very well, even when the lights are on in the room (although the blacks suffer). When the room is dark it's absolutely beautiful.

Happy slick-dealing!

That's the PX1, not the PX1-PRO which is $2299 on Amazon

Maybe or maybe not an odd question but could this be ceiling mounted? Would you then mount an ALR screen upside down or how would that work? There would be no lights above it just windows with blackout curtains and a lamp at the back of the living room if needed. Room is about 18ft wide and 22ft deep.

you can do that but IMO if you can control the lighting and ok good with the hassle of routing wires to a ceiling mounted projector you are better off with a non UST projector. it should be cheaper for a comparable image

Thanks for the reply. Any suggestion on a non UST projector with at least as good of picture quality and brightness?

I'm not too up to date on specific projectors. I got a ust a while ago and not sure what's current

I bet they got the px1 and px1 pro mixed up. I was wondering why they were the same price on bhphoto
