I picked up a 3000 for $169. Fishing with Penn battle reels all my life. This old man needs a lighter reel.

These are workhorse reels. Never owned one myself but only have heard great things. They aren't the lightest as the Stradic CI4+ and Vanfords fill that category but these will last a lifetime

Great reels and great price. All i buy now are stadics for inshore and penn slammers for offshore spinning wise

it's been years since we've seen this price! I bought the 3000, because the 2500 was oos. However, I just checked again and the 2500 had a couple in stock. So, had to buy the 2500. I fish with an older 2500 FH and 4000 MGFA and they're still going strong in salt/fresh.

Picked up 1000 for no reason. Still have Stella FK 2500 in box for fall Walleye/bass setup.

Maybe use 1000 for crappies and trouts.

This has put me on a lot of fish. Not as smooth as new now so I'm tempted to get another one. Except, I already have another brand new one. Killer price tho. They must be clean out inventory? Another site had these for sale not nearly as steep as this.

Im pretty sure its gonna be smoother. After using both and hearing from a friend who has a stradic ci4+ and spinfisher, shimano takes the win for "smooth retrieve" - the spinfishers may hold up longer durability wise in the long run but i think the stradic FL is a superior reel in general.

Btw i missed that the 1000 also dropped in price. Looks like everyone jumped on it. I would have jumped as well since thats the one size i wish i had more of... Frown

The last deal I can recall was on the Stradic CI4+ bask in 2020 at Basspro. I ordered one and they canceled my order Frown Now I have three FLs incoming lol.
